To my surprise yesterday turned into a really lovely warm day. There was only one short and intense bout of rain, no thunderstorms or even black clouds.I took the return parcel to the delivery office whilst the WM was working away. Just as I stepped out into my back garden the heavens opened 🙁 though I only got as far as the utility room when it stopped. It's so good to see bed linen and knickers fluttering in the wind. I say wind when I really mean something not far away from a gale. I had to add clothes pegs all along the bottom of the duvet cover and sheet to weigh them down. 😂 The effect of the wind and bright sunshine meant that everything dried really quickly. A perfect washing day.Today I'll be organising myself for my week away. I'm driving down to the midlands again to visit my nephew and family for a couple of days. On Monday night I'm staying with old friends in Newcastle and on Thursday night with other friends in Co. Durham. Four nights away in three different places, I'll be dizzy by the time I'm back in my own bed.I also need to sort and freeze some vegetables and use up some soup before tomorrow. The day looks to be another fine one. If the rain holds off I may run the mower over the back garden.Hugs go out to our poorlies. Happy Sunday to all.12

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's going to rain here, it's getting steadily darker, but it's warm. Yesterday was a similar day, but we didn't have thunderstorms like some places.
I did a bit of shopping at Aldi, and that was it, the rest of the day was just spent at home.
We have no plans for today.
You are going on your travels again Gers, enjoy! It's great to keep up with family and friends.
Hope everyone else is ok, and has a good day, are you still painting Camelot?
Thinking of our poorly people, and those finding life difficult.
Take care folks.

Morning everyone Gers enjoy your travels and give me a wave when you get to Co Durham . It was red hot here yesterday morning then we had heavy showers on the afternoon and a terrific storm on the night thunder lightning the works it hasn’t half put some rain down when I was out this morning with the dogs everywhere is saturated but it will do the gardens good and it’s saved me having to water my pots not a lot happening today we have to have sunshine and showers the dogs will get out again later but they are both snoozing now . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

My grass might even turn green at some point today! I have Wimbledon to watch if I can't get out there though.Thai curry for dinner. Then get my head around going back to work tomorrow. Boooooo. Can't collect my medication for my scalp until Tuesday.Hugs to everyone who needs one and safe travels to @Gers12

Morning folks. A brief one on my phone here at the 'van. Heavy rain battered down most of yesterday with the thunderstorms arriving early evening. Not the best weather to be in a caravan, it was a bit noisy. Today supposed to be sunny until the rain comes back tonight.
Have a good day and ((HUGS)) for all in need. RUBY hope your mum is OK xx

Morning All
Bright and sunny this morning, thankfully the gale force winds from yesterday have died down. Washing is out but there are some rather dark clouds coming over so may have to rescue it in a bit. Washing dried quickly yesterday before there was a short, sharp shower.
Enjoy your travels Gers.
Good luck going back to work Chrisca.
Enjoy your break TA, hope there's no more rain.
How's your DM Ruby?
Scarlet - I've finished painting for now, have the little one Monday and Tuesday then I go away to The Hague on Thursday for a long weekend. When I get back I'll have the other DGC for a few days so thought it best to leave it for now. The kitchen, downstairs bathroom and hall are all done along with the living room door and frame. I was a little bit exhuasted last night after I've tidied up.
The living room door has been re-hung this morning so all looking a bit better.
Got some curtains for my bedroom yesterday that are ironed and up. Also bought a dye for the towels, I'm fed up of all the grey towels being different shades depending where they were bought from. Easy to use but I now have towels of differing shades of green! I give up.
Shopping to do this morning then a relax until an evening wedding reception this evening.
Hope everyone can have a happy and peaceful Sunday, take care. XX

Morning all, yesterday we had terrific thunder, lightening storms with rain coming down in stair rods ! Today is set to be similar although the sun is out now.
Just a bit of housework to do today and I have some beetroot to pickle. As Mr Fix It is X boxing with DGS, who's voice (DGS) is now down in his boots 😂 I can't hoover the living room till they've finished, so I'll do my pickling first.
Ta and Gers enjoy your breaks.
RedRuby hope your DM is ok.
Take care all, hugs to the poorly ones and the MIA's

Morning everyone
Just a quickie as I've been distracted looking for a small cabin bag at Amazon - I bought one last year cos it was cheap but I'd rather have won that matches my case.
I'm going down to mam and dads to do his jobs on the laptop then I'll come home for some lunch and then go down to DDs to help her tackle the weeds - no doubt with a hundred and one questions from little one. DD says she seems to be fine this morning other than a cough. My reward will be a roast dinner at teatime.
Hope everyone has a good day - Gers enjoy your trip away.13 -
Morning all, thanks and happy travels Gers,Glad to hear little one seems better today dp1.Hope DM is ok RRHappy pickling NanEnjoy the wedding 'do' CamelotWe had a good day yesterday with DGS at the tournament. They got to the final but then lost by 1 goal. Needless to say he was upset. We nipped home to get changed as we got soaked and went to their presentation at a local cricket club who made us very welcome. The cricket had been postponed due to the weather but got going again once the rain, thunder and lightning stopped, but there was lots of space for the boys to play and they had a great time. They all get on so well- as do the parents/Gparents, someone has called it their football family which was nice. DGS mum & stepdad left earlier than us and he was meant to go back with them but wanted to carry on playing so he stayed at DS again We weren't late back and DH managed to bbq but we ate inside.Roast chicken dinner tonight, and a crumble for after. Not sure if DS1 will be back, he's gone to a car show in Cumbria with some other petrol headsTake care all x

Morning all, hope the weather is kind to you today. Its currently sunny, but forecast to be wet again later.
I'm about to nip to the tip and to pick up some milk, then later I will be watching my niece & great-niece in their production of Matilda Jnr.
I just have tomorrow's session of radiotherapy to go, I will be glad as they are right in the middle of the day & 30 miles away. Yesterday me & 13 friends took part in the Pink Ribbon Walk at Chatsworth (well, I say me - I had been told by my medical team not to do it so I did the first mile uphill, and then met them for the last 1.5 miles to cross the finish line together) and to date we've raised £4,548 with more still to come.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
