Good morning, same here really Gers, the sky is brighter than me! Though everything is brighter than me at this time of the day.
Yesterday was an ok day, it turned out really warm.
I didn't do anything out of the ordinary, just the usual stuff.
Nothing planned for today, just a bit of shopping. Think I'll tidy the freezer.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.13 -
Hello again, I've just read back on yesterday (I know, a sensible person would have read back before posting today, but there you go)
Thanks, Iris, for the heads up about the Forum changes. I'll be interested to see what it will be like.
Sorry to see you didn't have baklava TA, maybe next time.
Bella, Ireland and Scotland are well worth visiting, so many beautiful places.13 -
After a good dose of coffee I feel up to matching the sky. Mind you, I have been in bed for nigh on 12 hours! The time in Glasgow took its toll, especially staying up until the early hours enjoying the company of a good white wine and an entertaining nephew, four hours sleep and then a long drive home. I forgot that I'm not in my 40s or 50s still. 😂 Now I'm wide awake and feeling refreshed. My nephew's train home was at 9.30am, once he was dispatched I went off to collect my order at Boots and do a bit of food shopping before collecting my friend for a lovely chat and coffee. I finally left Glasgow about midday though the drive was exceptionally long. Too many slow cars on the road plus the odd big heavy load held up everything. TBH the big heavy loads invariably pull over to release trapped traffic which zooms away. At least I got to listen to over three hours of my latest audiobook. #Today I'll be changing the bed linen and then doing a white wash. I had hoped to get it all out on the line but the weather forecast is for thunderstorms and so heavy rain. Seems difficult to believe given the beautiful morning outside.I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Saturday to all.
PS - Bella, the beauties of Scotland are waiting to welcome you. Just bear in mind the saying of Sir Billy Connolly 'Scotland only has two seasons, June and winter. '11 -
Morning everyone dogs have been walked before it gets to hot I don’t know if they will get out again it has to be torrential rain and lightning this afternoon might have to see if I can dodge a shower later . I need to pop out for some fruit but nothing much happening except housework. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

Morning All
I've been awake since 4, half an hour of deciding if I would go back to sleep I decided to get up. Still a bit of painting has been done!
Bath mats on the line, trying to get ahead of the forecast bad weather we're to have later. Will put another wash on in a bit before I go out.
I'm going to an evening wedding reception tomorrow (about an hour and a half away), I have shoes but want to have a quick look to see if I can get any better ones. I also need to stock up at HB and want to have a look in Dunelm at curtains.
Glad you enjoyed your time in Glasgow Gers, shame it took so long to get home.
Another forum change? Doesn't seem that long ago that we got this one.
Wishing you all a good weekend, take care. XX12 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. The sun is shining here too but they are still forecasting thunderstorms for later.
I am all packed up (apart from last minute fridge and freezer stuff) for my little trip to the caravan. I'm staying for a week, still no wifi there, but will read along on my phone. Posting is not as easy with clumsy fingers typing nonsense! Although the temps are forecast to be warm there seems a lot of rain around. Plenty of books have been packed. Sparkles bag has been packed too! She is quite accepting of being a caravan cat now.
The 2 DGDs did descend on me yesterday and after lunch youngest helped me declutter quite a lot of weeds from the front garden. The novelty soon wore off for her (and me!) but I am leaving it looking marginally better than it did!
Have a nice day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies or getting better. BELLA get planning your trips round the UK and Ireland as there are lots of beautiful places to visit. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning all. I’m off to a golf event in Hemel Hempstead today that our son is involved in. My sum knowledge of golf is crazy golf!
bit of a trek for us, but we will get to see him briefly and enjoy all the razzamatazz that apparently goes with these events!
take care allCarolbee12 -
Morning allBack from my hols. Seems I brought the hot weather back with me, well until the rain arrives around noon today anyway!Washing done, but a lovely pile of ironing to get through. I'll split it between today and tomorrow. Then back to work on Monday. My scalp psoriasis is still giving me grief. I went onto my surgery's website and filled in a form for an e-consult. To my amazement a doctor rang me a couple of hours later and has prescribed me some stronger scalp lotion which, hopefully, will do the trick. Great service. Mind you my supermarket pharmacy are very hit and miss where collecting prescriptions are concermed and the doctor told me that they might not have the medication in stock so a phone call later to see whether I can collect it some time in the near future!Been lazy for the last 2 weeks so back on my exercise bike today too.Keep safe and well everyone12

Sunny and v hot here ,but storms forecast for later .
off out soon for my Saturday coffee with friends
this afternoon I have been invited to pop in for a drink at a friends Golden Wedding Anniversary celebration. They have had a whole week of activities!
I’m hoping the storms miss them as they have a big family gathering this evening.
I’m very happy for them ,but tinged with sadness as my lovely DH died 3 months before ours .13 -
Morning all, thanks Gers , that was a long drive home!Feels very warm at the mo. We are off to a football tournament at a local high school where DGS is playing. After that their team is having their presentation at a local cricket club so not sure really how long we'll be out. I'm sure DS will feed pooch if I ask nicely. I have got some kebabs and stuff that we can bbq later, or on the grill if it rains.TA enjoy your stay at the caravan& Carolbee the golf. Chrisca hope you get your meds soon.SSue, enjoy your coffee out and the drink for the GWedding this afternoon, such a shame you weren't able to celebrate yours. My Mum passed away 3 weeks before their GW so I understand your sadness.I hope everyone enjoys their day and doesn't get too wet x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
