Morning @Gers and thanks for the start. I don't much like the new look forum!
WFH today - DH is in London and DDad is out for lunch with a friend. There's DS2's work uniform to wash. I'm cooking chicken pesto pasta for dinner - nice and easy.
Sorry for the boring update!
Hope everyone is doing okay.

Morning everyone and thank you for starting us off Gers. I also don't much like the new look forum
I'm off on a coach trip today.
Hope everyone has a good day.11 -
Good morning, thanks for starting Gers. Hope you're enjoying your travels, and seeing friends and family.
It's a grey start here, dampish.
Coxy, I did need new glasses, also a referral to the nearest Eye Unit, could be Sunderland or Newcastle, I can get to either. That was a bit of a blow really, I knew I had what I thought was a slight problem with my right eye, turns out it's not slight. Hey ho, there's always something.
Ruby, ouch! to the waxing ! Glad your Mum is home and hope she's soon feeling better.
Camelot, it's lovely to spend time with the dgc's, they grow up too quickly.
Hope you caught up with sleep Mucky moo, there's nothing worse than being woken up in the middle of the night.
Snoozer, hope you and the family are all right.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can today, take care folks.13 -
Morning Coxy I don't care for new look either but once home using laptop it might seem better.
Another boring one off me. Weather still a bit grim though rain not quite as heavy and none on the forecast for today! Going through books at a rate of knots and watched a couple of DVDs. Being very idle and eating too much!
Have a good day take care all xx

Morning all
I quite like the new layout it seems easier on the eye somehow.
Dry and bright here for now but rain due this afternoon and for the rest of the week. I am off to collect Rob today and take him to work I always love working with him he is such a joy, will nip into the shop on the way home to get a few bits.
I can’t remember who asked but we are off on holiday in the early hours of Monday morning and arrive on our beloved island 15 hours later 😳 it’s a long journey with lots of waiting for flights and ferry’s but so worth it.Dinner tonight will be bacon, egg, sausage etc with some bread and butter for the carb eaters, I need to have a quick tidy round this morning before I go.
Have good days all and take care xx12 -

Brightish this morning but there could be rain! Washing is going out anyway, I'll take a chance.
Enjoy your coach trip Iris, where are you off to?
Enjoy your breakfast Gers.
That's what holidays are for TA!
Glad your DM is home Ruby, hope she makes a swift recovery.
Lovely day with the little one yesterday, we made the fairy cakes but they didn't look too good, not used to this vegan cake making but she had fun and enjoyed the testing too. I sent them home with her so her Daddy could have one.
I've a day of cleaning and tidying before going away tomorrow afternoon, really looking forward to it, hope there's sunshine!
Happy Wednesday, take care. XX10 -
Morning all, thanks for starting Gers,I'm feeling a bit tired this morning & can't decide whether to go swimming or not. Yesterday seemed a long day, getting all the housework done before my hairdresser came, getting all the food ready for 4 of us to take on our trip to Morecambe once we picked DGS up from school. We discovered it wasn't 1 game of footie but 3 shorter ones. There was a bit of drama in the last game when the goalkeeper was injured and our DGS filled in, and made a great save in the last minutes to keep them winning so he was buzzing all the way home We were out 5 hours!I've taken some chicken thighs out for tea, which I'll season with a spicy powder mix and then air fry, there are some parmentier potatoes that need eating today too, salad for me.Enjoy your trip CamelotGlad Mum is home RRHope you get some dry weather TA, what a difference from the June weather eh , but reading lots of books sounds good.Sorry for your eye problems Scarlet & new specs.Take care everyone x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Hours later...I went for breakfast then came back to my room where I fell asleep again. Almost unheard of though I've been driving long distances on both Monday and yesterday. Then it was a long evening at the charity quiz event. I've told the others to do without me today and we'll meet up for dinner and the cycling time trial thing.Being with my friends on Monday was really lovely. They gave me a very large colour print of my very favourite view of Newcastle, the swing bridge over the Tyne with the castle, moot hall, vermount hotel and high level bridge all in the background. I used to always drive over the swing bridge and avoid the Tyne bridge, my friends laughed at me. 😀
Looks like approaching rain, I'll decide what to do in a wee while. I'm reading the forum on my iPad so it looks very different, can't find my favourites list!I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Wednesday to all.7 -

Wow this layout is going to take some getting used to.
Nice and bright this morning although storms are forecast for later so i'll do a small load of laundry and put it onto the airer.
Another quiet day for me as there are only 3 orders to prepare for tomorrow and one is already set up. Only 10 working days left until i leave this job. Feels very daunting and exciting at the same time.
lunch is cheese and crackers, dinner is probably a toad in the hole or risotto ready meal with whatever veg I can find.
Hope you all have a lovely day and sending hugs to those who need them xWeight loss - 0/12 GC - July 142.01/£200 Happiness can be found in the darkest of places if only someone turns on the light9 -
Morning...Imagine my surprise when the new format arrived to find I had several drafts in my profile that I didn't even know were there...so I've found your lost posts everyone [I think that was when the forum changed for a bit and started auto saving halfway through posts last year] Today I'm hopefully going out to pay for the window frames, finally pick up the prescriptions and my new contact lenses..it's only been over a week so not bad in terms of procrastination. Got some cooking to do today and maybe also pack up the stuff for the cs, four bags and counting, and a couple of cushions to give away on fb local free site. Also, for the more tech savvy, I have adblock plus installed on my browser [ you may have different ad blockers] but by blocking some of the elements on this new look, I've managed to clean it up a bit and get rid of some fluff..heads up...Scarlet, sorry to hear that, I hope it can be treated with good results. Rosy, that's a lot fo ffotball dedication right there Gers, what a lovely present, how nice of them...Right, look after yourselves and stuffp.s. I don't mind the new look, it's easier to read for meShampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...11
