I'm looking for some practical advice about using the Parkray 111 roomheater in the house I'm renting. I just can't get my head round it!! Moving into a house heated by LPG - calculating remaining LPG in tank
Just about to buy a house heated by an LPG heating system. A new experience for me. Seller is wanting to negotiate a price for the remaining fuel in the tank. I've offered to pay for the fuel at the current rate given by the current supplier which is 36.9ppl. 600 X 0.369 = 221.40 (£220.00). I understand that there is a…

Simplicity Energy. Anyone else having problems?
Have been in contact (online chat) with BG Evolve, and have e-mailed Simplicity Energy in order to establish the status of my transfer nearly 11 weeks after it was announced that Simplicity Energy had ceased trading. Shell energy price hike horror
3 months ago i used MSE comparison tool to decide whether to stay with OVO for my gas and electricity. After filling in the form I was given many lower quotes and decided on Shell as the Customer Service rating was good and they are a big company with excellent reviews. The switch was smooth and efficient with very limited…

Burning Peat Briquettes and Night Briquettes
Hi all, So, we own a Clearview Pioneer 400 multi-fuel stove. Lovely little 5kW stove! Typically, we'll burn seasoned wood. Recently, we've been gifted a big batch of Bord Na Mona peat briquettes (smokeless) and Lekto night briquettes (not smokeless). I know there is some controversy on whether peat should be burned at all,…

Advice sought

Boiler taking a long time
Hello, we have a 14 year old oil boiler, and it is taking hours to raise the temperature in the house by 1 degree. When we moved in 3 years ago, we replaced all of the radiators and the windows. EON hassle
EON took over NPower about a year ago. Since then I've continued to get email requests for meter readings and have replied on time via the link in the emails with no apparent problem. It turns out none of my readings have been captured by EON so I wasn't migrated onto their system. I suspect I'm not the only one affected.
