Shawbrook FR ISA deposit
Hi Min deposit for the FR ISA is £1,000. On their website they say:- We're not part of the confirmation of payee scheme, so your bank may tell you this when you try and make a payment. It's nothing to worry about. For peace of mind, you may wish to make a small 'test' payment of £1. Once the payment has processed, you'll…

Open banking / ISA transfer
Hi, anyone having problems trying to use both Moneybox and ,or Plum platform? The rates for EA ISA are really good but they both managed by app that links and connects to chosen bank account. The issue i have is Santander don't recognise these platforms on their open banking system so I've no way of transferring the money…

Additional Permitted Subs ISA - Transfer process
Hi all. I'm in the process of setting up an APS ISA for my Mum for her to inherit my Dad's ISAs. He had two, a cash one and a stocks & shares one. Am I correct in thinking that his S&S ISA provider does not transfer the money directly? So the S&S ISA provider will notify the APS ISA provider of the account value and then…

The easy access ISAs where it says 'rate drops to...after 12 mths'
eg Plum, Moneybox, Zopa, Post office. So does that mean the rate is guaranteed to be above the rate it will drop down to until 12 months are up? The PO ISA says it has a 3.35% bonus (on top of 1.55%) for 12 months so doesn't that mean it will be 4.9% for 12 months????

Can you transfer a fixed-rate ISA to an easy-access one before maturity?
Hi, This might sound like a weird question but I was wondering if you can transfer a fixed-rate ISA to an easy-access one before maturity. I've currently got a really good rate of 5.7% with Virgin Money, which is giving me around £49 in interest each month. The ISA is due to mature in August. I understand that I'd be…

Quick ISA transfer - Barclays to Oaknorth in 1 working day
Positive post alert ! Cash ISA help please
Hi All, I have a NatWest 1 year fixed rate Isa which matures in September. It is at 5.7% so a very good interest rate but when it matures it will go into a 1.75 cash Isa (not so good) I want to open a new cash Isa now with a good rate and put the full £20,000 for this tax year into it but what I want to know is whether I…

Income AND Accumulation version of same fund in ISA?
Hi there, I already have Vanguard's STMM Acc fund in my ISA. But I was thinking of holding the Income version too so that I can distinguish it from my main growth funds and use it as a savings account to hold and distribute my 25% tax free SIPP cash each year and some drawn down cash from the growth part of the ISA. I'd…

ISA transfer "IN" not as easy as the "OUT"
Hi All, apologies if this is something that has been asked many times before. Am I the only one that's noticed that transferring and ISA OUT tends to be relatively easy (either the electronic or the somewhat archaic but understandable snail mail) but finding someone that will allow transfers IN seems to be more challenging…

Growing ISA’s over a ten year period
Apologies if this is an obvious question but I was a bit clueless with ISA’s taking the interest from a maturing one then closing and opening another for years. I know, stupid. Anyway, I have an ISA maturing 12th April and another in October. My plan is to transfer the maturing ISA to a new Cash ISA, add another £20k and…

What happens if I transfer too much to an ISA?
I made a mistake and should be due to have £20,001 in my ISA instead of just 20. The transaction hasn't completed (definitely the correct amount, I tested first with a smaller sum), but the money is nowhere now so I've messaged both building societies. I know it can take some time (the advised timescale has elapsed), but…

Logistics on changing fixed ISA to new provider
Apologies if this is a very basic question but I’ve not had a fixed ISA before and now have two maturing in the next month. Ideally I will probably want to change provider. How does this work in practice? I know with normal cash ISAs the new provider handles the transfer, effectively pulling in the funds, rather than the…
