Combining Junior ISA accounts question?
Hi All So we adopted our son back in 2020, its come to light that he had 2 Junior ISA accounts. One is with 'The Children's ISA' which looks like a stocks one. He also has a Cash ISA which is foster carers setup for him with Lloyds. Can both of these be moved into a New Cash ISA with someone like Tesco bank who pay 4%…

Flexible cash ISA
At the moment I am using my Zopa Cash Flexible ISA @5.08% as my easy access account instead of Santander Easy Access Saver now @4.2%. I used £11,500 of my £20,00 ISA allowance on a Virgin 5.25% 1 Year Fixed Cash ISA so I have £8500 annual ISA allowance left. Is it correct that I can keep adding and withdrawing to my Zopa…

Keeping LISA, SIPP and ISA with the same broker
Does anybody keep all tax sheltered accounts with the same broker to minimise fees? If the broker has a maximum yearly fee, and it is across all accounts, it could make sense for investors who's total holdings are large enough, but separate accounts are not. However, I know the main 3 mentioned here (DODL, AJbell and HL)…

Advice on opening multiple cash ISAs
Hi All, I recently opened a Virgin fixed 1 year cash isa and had the funds in my ISA from the previous year transferred into it. I hadn’t realised that with the Virgin fixed cash isa, it was only possible to deposit funds within 30 days of opening the account. This is not ideal for me as I will not be able to save to the…

I have held an ISA with Skipton for several years now and never previously had a problem. However, my account was due interest on 2nd October, which I am yet to receive (I am typing this…

So I have 2 Stocks and shares ISAs, * A - I opened a previous year and contributed nothing to in this tax year, holds things that cannot be held in B. * B - has better rates than A but fewer choices. If I want to transfer a dividend that got paid into A this tax year into B. is it a * Previous year because the dividend is…

Cash ISA - closed account, can I open another?
I had a cash ISA with The Principality BC. I wanted to transfer it to Chip, but Chip doesn't allow transfers in. Foolishly I closed the Principality account and the fund were transferred to my current account. I started opening the Chip Cash ISA but there was a declaration I needed to agree to which said I hadn't opened a…

Using our cash ISAs for Income and growth.
Quick background: my wife and I have accumulated over many years a reasonable size Stock & Shares ISA portfolio. We were taking circa 2.5% out a year as monthly income but were very unhappy with the growth aspect of the portfolio. So much so that we have liquidated all the funds etc into cash and moved it across to II…

Flexible ISA Rule changes
Hi there, After the turn of the tax year I subscribed to a flexible cash ISA for a brief period whilst I worked out what to do investment wise. I then withdrew the funds and invested them in another S&S ISA. I was of the understanding that current year subscriptions to a flexible ISA could be withdrawn and replaced in…

Overpaid my ISA in 23/24 by accident...
Hi - hoping someone can help with this! In 2023/24 I have accidentally overpaid my £20k ISA allowance by £100. I had £1000 in a Nutmeg S&S ISA for the 22/23 tax year, this was to get the £100 bonus they were offering to Chase customers at the time. I didn't realise that in July 2023 this was paid into the Nutmeg ISA, I…

British ISA and The General Election
Now the GE has been called I wonder if this will affect the launch of the British ISA, or even if it will go ahead if Labour should win the election ? I believe an announcement regarding the details of this new ISA was due after 6 June once the consultation process re finer details of the ISA had. Even completed.

Chip ISA and unable to close account
I opened a Chip ISA,
only to find that the Chip App wanted what appeared to be access to my bank
account incomings and outgoings. Not happy with having an App (and I
assume Chip staff?) looking at my bank account in this manor and monitoring my
life and transactions, I decided to close the account on the same day that…

transferring one isa, opening and subscribing to another
Hello I know this has been discussed a number of times but I just want to clarify before I advise someone else. A maturing ISA can be transferred to a new ISA now [happens to be with same bank] without adding extra funds and then another ISA opened in a couple of months time to add new subscription of £20k for this tax…

Flexible ISA rules....
Quick question. I've made £20k contribution to a cash isa in this current tax year. The entire balance is now £55k. If I choose to withdraw £45k, would I be able to repay the entire £45k back into the ISA, before the end of the tax year, or can I only return the original £20k? Not quite sure about this one.

S & S ISA, rules, tax and things
If I have a S&S ISA and grow the value by buying and selling, I don't pay CGT or tax on dividends, ok. Is there a limit on how far the ISA can grow? Suppose I just want to sell the shares and hold the money there as cash? Does that make any difference? If say the original 20k becomes 40k, can I transfer 20k to "somewhere…
