Can I specify ISA transfer date

I have a fixed rate ISA with NatWest due to mature 4th September. I want to transfer this to a Virgin fixed ISA. I haven't yet opened the Virgin account. My question is when I submit the transfer request to Virgin can I specify the date of transfer as the 5th September so I don't lose anything?

To reduce stress I would suggest giving Nat West maturity instructions to pay into their EA Cash ISA then instruct VM to transfer-in from the Nat West EA Cash ISA.1

The Virgin transfer form has an option to defer the transfer until maturity:https://uk.virginmoney.com/virgin/downloads/transferauthorityform.pdf
