Wealthify - shocking amateurs
I really don't think MSE should have any association with this outfit. After three years they have turned the £5,000 investment in my grandson's ISA into £4,850. This is based on their middle ground investment plan. When we contact them their response is the classic standard, " investment is a long-term thing". Of course…

Wondering about initial funding of possible new Halifax 1 Year fixed Cash ISA.
I have a fixed savings account (not with Halifax) which is not an ISA, and it matures on 26 April. Withdrawals are not allowed until it matures. I hope to put the proceeds into a new fixed ISA for the year 2025 to 2026. I did telephone Halifax to ask but I don't think I was good enough at explaining what I meant and it…

Transfer money from cash ISA to LISA
Hello, I am wondering if I am able to transfer £4000 from my cash isa with Moneybox to my LISA with Moneybox before the end of the financial year without this counting towards my £20,000 annual ISA allowance or whether this will count towards this still?

Flexible ISA query
I am looking to open a Chip ISA paying 5.37% (including a 3 month bonus) for the 25/26 tax year. I intend to deposit the funds on 6th April (can't do it before as I'm already maxed out for this year). I would then like to make the usual test deposit/withdrawal of a small amount to see how quickly money can be withdrawn and…

Are there any 3 or 5 year fixed rate cash isas that allow you to put in new money each new tax year?
I've been looking at the possibility of opening either a 3 or 5 year fixed rate cash and wondered whether it's possible to have an account where if finances permit, I could pay in my annual allownance each April to take advantage of the fixed rate (not transferring in). All the providers I've looked at seem to restrict…

Does withdrawn money have to go be repaid in to the same ISA?
Hi - I've looked on all the bank websites and Isa T&Cs but it still isn't clear to me. At the end of April last year, I put £17500 into a flexible fixed rate ISA with Provider A. I then started an Instant cash isa with my main bank - Provider B - and transferred £200 a month to that from my current account as I knew I…

CAN I OPEN ANOTHER CASH ISA
Hi, I've got a cash ISA maxed out for this year 2024/25 and I plan on opening another on 5th April this year (or just after thereabouts) Can I open one now instead but not put any money in it until after 5th April to get todays interest rates or do I have to wait until after 5th April to open it?

Adding additional funds to a fixed rate cash ISA throughout the term

LISA First Time Buyer rule
I started saving in LISA with Tembo, who are absolutely fantastic by the way! After loading a few £250s and then a whole £1,000, my mum decided to reveal that when I was 4 years old, we moved to a new house and they wrote me as a part-owner of it. I was 4, it was back in Ukraine, and the house is long sold. Nor me or my…

Too late to open an ISA?
If I opened an ISA tomorrow for example and put 20K in and then added 20K on 6th April would I get interest on 40K for the 2025/2026 tax year? Also is it an easy process to open an ISA or do I have to mess about with proving identity etc with photo licence like I had to for a savings account.

Lifetime ISA Bonus Pending Mid Transfer
Hi, I did something a bit silly without realising with my Lifetime ISA, I transferred it to a new provider (via the correct route, i.e. the money was transferred ISA to ISA via the banks), but I have a pending Government bonus in the old ISA which I totally forgot about. Will I still receive the bonus? The money has been…

First Time S&S ISA advice
After building up a good amount of savings in cash ISAs and regular savings, I’m intending to start dipping my toe into investing with a S&S ISA. I’m pretty sure I know what I need to, but think a bit of a sanity check from people more knowledgeable than myself wouldn’t hurt. I’m aware that I should be looking to invest…

1 year cash ISA that matures in June 2025
I have a 1 year cash ISA that matures in June 2025 My question and I apologies if it sounds naive, can I top my current 1 year cash ISA with part or all my new £20,000 tax year allowance and still have tax free savings in my 1 year cash ISA? Which S&S ISA? Suggestions please.
I want an ISA that I can pay into weekly. I want to contribute £10 per week and I'm happy to look at moderate to higher risk. Which ones would you suggest?

isa rules
can anyone clarify the isa rules for me. I had the full allowance in a cash isa and withdrew it all for a purchase (which didn't happen), can I reinvest the full amount with a different provider that pays a higher rate?

Transferring an NS&I ISA
I have an old NS&I cash ISA, which I want to transfer into my new Kent Reliance ISA. KR acknowledged the transfer request, which was over a month ago now. I've just had another letter from KR, saying that they still have not received a response from NS&I. They say they will continue to persevere until they complete the…

If Cash ISAs are ended by Government.
As an example, if I am not working or eligible for state pension yet, and earning £5k per annum from private pensions, could I transfer the money from my cash ISAs into a standard interest rate account, and earn £13,570 per annum without paying any tax? From what I have read I believe this is the case.
