Nationwide 'split-ISA' - can it be transferred out
Hi, a few years ago when I was putting contributions into a Nationwide Help to Buy ISA, they offered a "split ISA" (I think it's called Flexclusive Split ISA). The offered this to give us an opportunity to use up the full 20k ISA allowance. So over the course of a year I'd deposit the maximum I could into the Help to Buy…

HSBC S&S to Virgin Cash Flexclusive - funds lost in transfer
Back in early April, I submitted a request to Virgin to transfer uninvested funds from HSBC GIC ISA. I have not heard anything for a long time, but around 10th of May I received a letter through the post from Virgin that they are going to chase it. Then a letter arrived from HSBC saying they rejected request because they…

Question on ISAs movement and transferring pots
Hi all, I have anytime access flexible ISA with chip for year 2024-2025. I have been saving into it for last couple months. Now that trading 212 is paying more interest in their anytime access flexible ISA, Am I allowed to move to trading 212? If yes, is it just a case of withdrawing my cash from chip then opening new ISA…

Can i top uo if i move to another isa.
So my 2023-2024 ISA which I started in August 2023 has now reached the end of its year and now I am wondering what to do with my £21k. If i transfer it into another isa at say 4% would i get tax free interest on the 21k and if I put in another 10k would i get the 4% on that as well which would result me getting 4% on the…

Saving on iSAs
SIlly question - if I invest £20k in an ISA, if, say, it is worth £21k after a year, can I then add another £20K the following year or does it have to be £19k. either way does the whole £40k remain free of tax? Thanks

Trading 212 Clone / Scam?
Having seen the Trading 212 Cash ISA in the newsletter, I clicked the link, got to the trading212 site and opened a Cash ISA... did the ID checks and went to deposit £20k, but Chase (my bank) wasn't on the list of banks they can do an instant transfer with, so elected for the bank transfer method. I used my Chase app to…

My son wants to buy a small freehold office in his local town with the intention of using permitted development rights to convert it into a residential flat for him to own and live in. Can he use his LISA to do this?

Fixed Rate cash ISA maturing - confusion about options
Hello I’ve had a look through a few FR ISA threads here but not found the information I need. Last year I opened a 1 year FR cash ISA with NatWest, which matures in September. The information they have sent me states that it will automatically become an easy access ISA on maturity, or can become another Fixed Rate ISA with…

20k ISA Time!
It's that time of year. I've got 20 years of investing ahead of me with a £20k ISA S&S allowance hole which needs filling. Torn between "S&P 500 UCITS ETF accumulation" and "VLS 100% accumulation".... Let's just say that Vanguard is the only company you can use, which one? Awaiting positivity and good vibes!

Coventry lowering rates on 2nd September
I was wondering what would happen to the Variable Four Access ISA Online issue 1. The rate is being reduced from 5.05 to 4.8 from the 2nd of September. That seems reasonable, they haven't jumped in straight away to drop it after the cut. The limited access online ISA 3 is dropping as well, again by .25 to 4.1 should anyone…

Beehive Money ISA- odd rules on transfers/current tax year subscriptions
Has anyone had any experience of opening a beehive money isa by transferring previous year subscriptions? I’ve already opened an isa this year with another provider. I want to open a beehive money fixed rate isa by transferring previous years’ subscriptions (ie not including this years). Their application form says I can…

Easy access ISAs
Hi, Earlier this tax year I put ~£19k in an easy access ISA. Later I withdrew most of it to leave ~£2.5k (I had a large purchase I needed the cash for). Last week I opened a fixed rate ISA and put in ~£8.5k. Does this mean that: a) I am over-subscribed as I have put ~£27.5k in ISAs this year, b) I am fine as I have put…

Post Office ISA Accounts
Please be very careful if you open more than one fixed rate Post Office ISA account. They all go into a purse and you can not transfer out until the last one has matured without incurring loss of interest or money is stuck in a low interest rate account.

ZOPA lost £3,000 of my money
I opened a ZOPA instant access ISA in May after seeing it recommended on the Martin Lewis site, 2 months ago I tried to withdraw some of my savings and was told it would show in my linked account within 2 hours. After a week of it not arriving I contacted Zopa to ask what had happened. They said they couldn’t do anything…

CASH ISA TRANSFER PROBLEMS
I recently transferred a cash ISA from Principality Building Society to Shawbrook bank. I filled in the necessary forms for Shawbrook to transfer the entire balance to them. I received a letter from Principality dated 6th August saying a cheque had been posted (as they don't do it electronically) to Shawbrook that day.…

Ancient Order of Foresters - MVR applied to a NISA 15 November 2022
The above company says my NISA is worth £20,700 but their MVR which was applied on 15 November 2022 has stated on withdrawal it will only pay £18,800. This is still in place despite considerable changes in the market place. How can they state that my NISA is "worth" £20,700 when I can only withdraw £18K? The Finacial…

Partial ISA transfer out of Zopa
I want to transfer part of my ISA with Zopa to another provider. It's a case of too many eggs in one basket. But Zopa do not allow partial transfers out - you have to do the whole thing. So I thought of a workaround. Has anyone else experience of this? Would it work? What are the risks? The new provider is fully flexible…
