Making lifetime ISA deposits while working abroad as a UK worker

I'm currently abroad for work. I've not spent much time in the UK since Nov 2023, just a week here and there. According to my HR department, I'm a UK worker who is posted abroad on a temporary contract, and a UK resident for tax purposes. Can I pay into my lifetime ISA?

Provided HMRC agree with their assessment then you're fine to fund a LISA, but worth validating this.anonmse said:According to my HR department, I'm a UK worker who is posted abroad on a temporary contract, and a UK resident for tax purposes.https://www.gov.uk/tax-foreign-income/residenceYou’re usually non-resident if either:
- you spent fewer than 16 days in the UK (or 46 days if you have not been a UK resident for the 3 previous tax years)
- you worked abroad full-time (averaging at least 35 hours a week), and spent fewer than 91 days in the UK, of which no more than 30 were spent working
