Transferring ISA from Virgin to Skipton BS

Hi,
I am trying to transfer an ISA from Virgin to Skipton. On the Skipton site when Virgin money is selected it asks for a "roll or reference number." Neither Virgin or Skipton seem clear on what this is. I am wondering if anyone has resolved this.
The virgin account sort code begins with 08 and I am wondering if I should select the existing money is with Cyldesdale bank, rather than Virgin.
Has anyone any advise?
