Any point in staying with Hargreaves Lansdown for my ISA? Trading212 looks cheaper
If you read Stocks & shares ISAs: find the best platform - MSE (moneysavingexpert.com), it has trading212 under "Lower fees, but less established platforms", and HL under "Higher fees, but more established platforms". Does how established a platform is really matter? You investments are ring-fenced anyway. All I want to do…

Flexible Cash ISA question
I have subscribed £10,000 of this year's ISA allowance into a fixed rate cash ISA so I have £10,000 left to subscribe this year, If I subscribe this £10,000 into an easy access flexible ISA and withdraw some of this, can the withdrawn amount only be returned to the same ISA?

Trading 212 cash ISA
Cash ISA's are said to be protected by the FSCS. However T&C for Cash ISA's, in clause 5, refers to Invest T&Cs. In invest T&Cs, clause 14 seems to indicate the FSCS only relates to failure by Trading 212 but not to the third part accounts. My understanding of this is as follows: In the event of IG's insolvency: Any money…

I can't see who is paying money into a JISA
My daughter opened a Nutmeg Junior ISA 2 years ago, on my advice, for my grandson. I pay into it by standing order each month with additional lump sums for birthday and Christmas. I have provided the details of the JISA to other extended members of the family so they can pay into it if they wish. Several lump sum payments…

10% CGT rate.
Which ever party wins the next election they are going to be looking for money. An
obvious source would be scraping the 10% CGT rate. Is it worth maximizing the
capital gains now to use up the 10% rate for this year?

Cash ISA option advice please
Hi all. I have 80K already in an ISA and am just coming out of a 1 year deal. I have also 20K ready to put in for my entitlement this year. I do not need to touch my 1st 80K, so can lock it away and prefer to leave it in a Cash ISA. I think my options are: a) Put 80K into 1yr fix at 5% b) Put 80K into 5yr fix at 4% (ish) -…
