Hi, We’re looking to get a new kitchen and are interested in getting decent units (e.g. no mdf cores) so realise it will cost more than the average. Having said that was keen to know whether this quote seems reasonable from a local supplier: £11,225 Mornington Beaded Dust Grey doors (oak) All carcasses - Egger H1146 ST10…

Should a new gas boiler cost 2450?
So I have a very old boiler providing hot water and central heating for my small three-bed house. When it had its annual service recently, the plumber reported that it was leaking carbon monoxide and so condemned it. Should I believe this? After all, the house has CO alarms that have not been triggered, and last year…

Is £300 ok for 4 sqm tiling with materials (in London)?
I've been quoted £300 to tile 4 sqm of wall (around shower tray). I'm providing the tiles but nothing else. The area to be tiled is currently just plasterboard. The tiles are fairly large around 300x600. This quote seems quite high to me? I have no idea about cost of materials here which means I don't know the labour cost.

Gas safe: Pay me to fix else I’m turning your gas off
Had a gas safe guy turn to check my house as I need a gas safe certificate. He found a problem with the hob, it had a flexible gas pipe instead of a solid one. I was a bit dubious but after a google search it seems others have changed for the same reason. What I have more of an issue with is he said by rights I should…

Hi all! We need to replace our garden fencing. Unfortunately we are responsible for all three sides.
