Car insurance rates down???
My renewal from Churchill came through the door the other day, up from £600 last year to £750. Absolutely no changes, no claims etc.I think they assume if you are on auto renewal they can take the ****.Got the same insurance from Sainsbury's Bank for £420, and guess what, Churchill came up in that search at £480.

Insurance company owe me over £1k but won't send the money
I was involved in a car accident in November 2024. As I was not at fault, my insurer (Go Skippy) passed the claim onto a company called AX. AX dealt with everything for me and everything was claimed from the other party's insurance company, Aviva. The car was a write-off and a price was offered which I disputed. I won the…

Renovation Insurance Policy
Following an escape of water in September 2024, I have an ongoing insurance claim. The reinstatement work will be in the region of £200k. My existing policy is due to end in March 2025. My insurer askes what percentage of the home is flat roof to which I reply 10% because we have a Bay window that has a flat top to it but is not part of the main roof. I answer 10% because they only give % options in graduated steps in reality its more like 5% . I always declare it but often wonder is my Bay Top a Roof?

Made a claim on house insurance in early Dec-2024. Was rejected by end of Dec-2024. Got a new home insurance policy in Jan-2025 where I did not declare this as I did not realise that even rejected claims had to be declared. Got a letter from new insurance company when they found out, and hence I told them in early Mar-2025…

I've been a ND on my dad's insurance since I started driving (1999). In all that time we have never claimed so his NCD is protected. I'm starting to wonder given his age (76) if I should start my own insurance. Will it be like starting from scratch or will anyone take into account my driving history with no claims etc. I…

Keeping old car but should I transfer NCD to new car's insurance when I buy it?
Hi, I have a 2008 Mitsubishi Colt which has been fantastically reliable for the past 14 years but is starting to show signs of age, although passed MOT without problem. I want to buy a more recent hybrid but as I am attached to the Colt and will not get much in exchange it makes sense to keep it as a first car for my son…
