Reglaze glass at Specsavers
Has anyone had their glass reglazed at Specsavers? Have appointment for an eyetest tomorrow and know my sight has changed. Every year they tell me I need new glasses, I've got so many old pairs, it's such a waste and expensive. So I want to be ready for when they try to sell me a new pair.

Denplan Dentist Advice please
I wonder if anyone can advise if they have received any refund or suspension of premiums from Denplan during this current time. My husband and I have been paying our £52.50 a month premium and have recently had our dental check ups cancelled for the second time. Our dentist is blaming the fact that he can’t get PPE…

Razors for Women (Teens)
Random present I know, but my daughter has been using my Gillette Fusion 5 razor (only the stem, she uses her own blade!), but I figured I might as well get her one for herself. I've always used the mens' one just because I thought it was cheaper, but are they any good women's ones out there that I can get her for a…

Pillow for back pain due to spinal degeneration.
I've been struggling with my back for as long as I can remember. I used to do massages, went to dance classes, did exercises, but still, this pain keeps coming back. Recently I discovered I'm pregnant and I know some U-shaped maternity pillows can reduce back pain. Now I'm using a wedge shaped-pillow for comfortable…

GP Services Seem Almost Nonexistent
This is a bit of a rant rather than asking for advice. I have seen on the news that GP's are doing appts via telephone and its all going swimmingly. They can answer more calls in a day than see patients and everything is going fine without the majority of patients needing to make a personal visit. Six weeks ago, my GSD…

Leaving NHS orthodontist before end of treatment?
We are not happy with teenage child's orthodontist. I know our only other option is to go private elsewhere. If we ask the orthodontist to remove the braces can he refuse? Will we have to pay a penalty? Teen is 18 in a few months but has been told treatment has to continue for another 18 months as brace has broken number…

Scale and Polish
I had a scale and polish last week for the first time in a couple of years. The hygienist was very pleased and said there was hardly any plaque and did a quick scrape and that was that. It was only later I realised that I’ve never had a polish at this dentist. Is this normal practice. The price has also increased from £65…

shocked at cost of dental bridge
My husband had to have two teeth lower front teeth removed after an accident. His dentist quoted £2000 for a Maryland bridge prep and impression and £1300 for bridge fit. We have no idea if this is excessive or the "going rate" We can't possibly find such a large amount of money. Would he be able to have a bridge on the…

Own sedation for dental work
I've to have a wisdom tooth removed as it is growing sideways. The NHS waiting list isn't even open due to covid, and I'm getting some pain, so I'm having it done privately. Thing is, it will cost an extra £180 or so to be sedated, which I can't really afford right now. I've had a wisdom tooth ripped out without sedation…
