Cheap Energy Club - tariff comparison?
Can someone explain to me why the web page tells me I'll be paying less at the end of my fixed deal? The current figues look correct, but I can't see how I'll pay less at the end of this fix.

Timely Reminder - Meter Tariffs Still on GMT - Adjustments Needed ?
I know many will adjust clocks and everything else. So obvious to many, but remember many (all?) E7 E10 style tariff meters with fixed time of use tariffs stick with GMT - so off peak slots for many (all?) have moved an hour overnight. So you might need to adjust lifestyle e.g. off peak load shifting usage patterns a bit.…

Energy saving tips for an electric oven.
Other than batch cooking, or cooking more than one thing at a time, is there an efficient way to use an electric oven? I already turn it off a few minutes early. Is there anything can put in my oven to make it smaller? Like you put something in the toilet cistern so you use less water. Not that it's very big but being an…

Octopus Go and a manual meter reading
Octopus have gone back to raising bills in random dates for no apparent reason, last one on 20th. I've raised it with them but not really had a response. So it's likely I'll have to submit a manual meter reading on the first. I can look at the smart meter data and work out what it should have been at midnight, although…

Is Loop app having issues?
Hi, been using Loop app since last summer. No issues, until recently. In February, 1 day of gas usage completely missing, then 3 random days missed in March. The data for gas hasn't been updated for 2 days now and electric data not been updated in 3 days (normally it updates a few times a day for both). I know the meters…

Cheap Energy Club new password reset not working, alternative comparison sites?
Hi, I tried to log in to the Cheap Energy Club today and I see the site has had changes, and it says as part of it, I need to reset my password. I've tried several times, but the "verification code" never arrives (yes, I've refreshed many times and checked spam folder). There's no contact or any other way to report the…

Moving from the Standard Variable Tariff to a Fixed Tariff and Smart Meters
Hello, I'm on the Standard Variable tariff with my Energy provider, which is one of the Big Six providers, and am seriously considering going on a fixed tariff to avoid the price increases. However, I am dubious about going onto a smart meter which is why I have stayed on the standard variable tariff. Generally speaking…

Cheap Energy Club got it wrong again !
Bizarrely, they had my electricity use at 5148 kWh when Scottish Power said it was 1376 ! That's four times too high and, incredibly, even greater than my gas usage - which was correct. That is second time they have got my current figures wrong - see my earlier thread. Why isn't anybody checking for obvious, glaring…

So I have switched from my current British Gas/Electricity tariff to the one above only to find my DD has gone from £101 to £186 a month, twice the estimated cost!
