Octopus Compare is designed primarily for mobile use.  I believe that there are ways to get it to run on a PC, but these involve the use of Emulators, Subsystems, Home Assistants, Python scripts and other exotic tricks not for non-techies.  Has anyone had experience of any of these and can recommend any?

Install Bluestacks, an Android emulator and run it on that.

" Install Bluestacks, an Android emulator and run it on that"

I will assume that I can get directions on line. Is it a job for non-techies / is it reversible if things don't go to plan? And will it have any knock-on effect on other files and settings in my W 11 PC?

Download it from the official website, it takes a minute or two to install at most. Very easy to set up, no technical skills required, just uninstall it if you decide it is not for you like you can with any other app.
