I have a problem using this online service which I have been unable to resolve with Royal Mail support services. I'm hoping someone here on the forum might be able to help. The main customer service point of contact admitted that they knew little about the "Click and Drop" system and advised that I contacted the online…

International buyer - how to deal with VAT paid?
A buyer in France has bought an item from me. Ebay have collected VAT payment on his behalf. There's a number in the order, listed as 'Tax Details' in the app (format: FRXXXXXXXXXXX). Do I need to put down this number anywhere on the customs declaration form to ensure the buyer won't be paying VAT twice?

How is Ebid getting on?
I used to be active in this forum about ten years ago. One thing that I thought of after looking at this forum again is to wonder how Ebid is getting on. When I was active here there were always people promoting Ebid and calling it the future of online auctions. I registered on Ebid and after some effort found a minor item…

Anyone have a ballpark figure for the cost of additional protection? Is it worth it?
Hi Everyone,I'm planning to list one of my laptops on Ebay this coming week. From historic listings I believe I should get around £150 for it.Having had a read of the board stickie I'm considering using Parcel2go for the courier. I notice that most of headline prices include protection of up to £20. I'm assuming this kicks…

Ending listings early.
I've had a spate of people bidding then not paying so I changed almost all listings to buy it now. One slipped through the net and I forgot to change it. As expected another bid appeared with 10 days still left to run. I'm pretty certain it's another non payer competition blocking as the pattern is the same. It still has 5…

Ebay buyer wants to return an item to me after 100 Days - They are quoting UK consumer rights

Is this a possible ebay scam?
Sent a buyer an item via evri. Had a message moaning it had not arrived and they needed it in a hurry. Apparently been home all day every day and no sign of evri. Fair enough I thought, I know how bad evri can be. Looked up evri tracking and item was "held-unable to deliver" 3 Delivery attempts made. Sent replacement on…

Royal Mail Compensation
It used to be that Royal Mail paid compensation for lost items sold on Ebay as long as you could provide proof of postage and the final auction page. When did this change to proof of value being an original purchase receipt? Is it right that you entrust an item to RM and if it is lost they can say 'have the postage…

Accepting Return of Non Faulty Item
I sold a Freesat box on eBay, after the buyer received it I received a notification from eBay saying the buyer wants a refund as the item is faulty. Fair enough, despite the fact it was working perfectly well when I sold it these things can happen. However , in dialogue we’ve had, after I agreed to the refund he now says…

Aggressive eBay Buyers
Maybe I'm getting fragile in my old age, but I'm seeing more and more unpleasant buyers and potential buyers nowadays. I've had one threaten us with negative feedback if I didn't offer compensation, after they'd realised over 2 weeks after receipt of an item that they'd thrown all the packaging away containing a tiny…

Evening all So I sold some genuine Airpod Pros on ebay for £120 ish. eBay Large Item - Best for buyer or Seller to Arrange Courier?
Hi Sorry to be back again so soon with one of these types of questions.... I've a large piece of furniture on eBay listed as collection only. Hi All As per the title really. I had an INR case opened a few weeks ago and refunded buyer. I sent the buyer a polite message asking if they would like to…
