Posting Commemorative Coins ?
Hi. Just read somewhere that the only way to send Commemorative Mint coins for eBay sales is via Royal Mail Special Delivery in order to have insurance protection, as they're legal tender. Is this correct ? I've sent £5 Silver Proof Coins in the past via Tracked 48, but on a value of say £30, makes no sense sending Special…

How long after receiving an item does an buyer have to reject it and ask for a return?
How long after receiving an item does an eBay buyer have to reject it and ask for a return? I sold an old (but working) phone on eBay. I tested it before listing it and tested it again as I was packaging it to send to the buyer. It worked fine. The buyer received it 19 days ago. They now want to reject it as they say it…

What is Ebay Virtual Tracking Number?
Sometimes my daughter asks me to post on her behalf so she would forward me her Ebay email which has the buyer's address etc. Today I noticed that email also contains a 7 figure Ebay virtual tracking number. Checked my other half's sale notification email and that too has the similar number. None of my notifications have…

New message from eBay re HMRC reporting
It looks like eBay are getting a bit fed up of the constant questions about the new HMRC reporting rules as well as the rest of us. All I see on various forums is people saying ‘I’ve tried contacting eBay several times for clarification and don’t understand what it means’ . This is the new message I think we have all…

Naïve / Irritating / Silly Buyers
Recently I have noticed an increase with the above buyers. I seem to be fielding more stupid questions pre/post sale than ever before... Two recent examples stand out for me: 1. Buyer complained that Evri attempted to deliver their parcel at the weekend which in their words "They shouldn't have done, as my eBay address is…

I've seen several messages on here about this subject but not one specifically mentioning this, so apologies if this has been covered in another post. My husband had an expensive watch for sale on marketplace. We had the usual scam messages which we ignored, then a message from a male who seemed genuine and he arranged to come to our home this morning. We are quite remote so said we would meet him at the local petrol station snd he could follow us back. He called to say…

Postie scanned collected item straight away as delivered
Hey! So I have sold a few items in past few days and I have had them booked for collection for today. Postie came and collected the items, which show as collected on tracking, and then a minute later they show as delivered with a photo of postie holding the items with the van in the background. I am pretty sure this was an…

Etsy new seller scam
Totally disgusted with Etsy and the bank. Whilst opening a new seller account and admittedly, very excited, I ended up getting scammed for the whole contents of our business account. No security on Etsy. They are very aware of the problem yet to the scam continues obviously frequently. The bank don’t care they have frozen…

Cash on collection via ebay
There is an item near me that I would like to purchase, I would prefer to collect it and pay cash once I have seen it. I am trying to make a 'best offer' but I am getting the 'choose automatic payment method' screen and there is no option to choose cash on collection. Or collection at all for that matter. Collection is…

Royal Mail Collection Error
So I ordered a parcel via Asos through one of their 3rd party brands, Berghaus. It was a coat worth £140, I also ordered the same coat in a different size via a different company. The Asos package arrived and I immediately booked a collection for return as the other coat was the correct size. Royal Mail collected the…
