RM parcel drop off 30p?

Options
Do the Post Office still charge an extra 30p when dropping off a "48 Hr" parcel instead of RM picking it up? (Buying postage online)

I've never been hit with any extra charge for dropping off a parcel

I have been charged 30p on 2 separate occasions when dropping parcel off.
Wondered if that had changed with new October prices. Can't  find anything about it.

There used to be a 20p charge, I think from looking at the new rates that has now gone entirely.

Like Mark_d said though, I was never charged extra as buying labels via ebay postage always allowed drop off at no extra charge at a PO.

The RM site is no longer showing a charge for dropping off at a PO.

I thought this was a useful resource from Royal Mail.
It covers everywhere you can drop off including the more recent Royal Mail lockers, which I'm guessing will give you a proof of postage. There's one in walking distance to me but it hasn't been working when I've tried it. I get collections now but always nice to know if there's a back up. The one near me is shared with DPD so you may have one nearer than you think.

RM purchased via ebay never added the drop off fee.
RM directly had a 16p then 20p "drop off" fee added to the total cost. that fee no longer gets added.
