Make offer! Seller discount code! Do they work together?

i have my eye on an item, lets say £100. there is a 25% discount code added at checkout that is a code specifically from this seller, checkout is £75.00
if i make an offer of £75.00 that is accepted would 25% then be deducted on top?

i expect the answer is no as its not an ebay code but the sellers code but i'll ask here anyway.

thank you.

  • Well I don't know, but while you're on the subject, I once used a seller that had set up Multi Buy discounts on the listing and then a multi buy sale event in their account (I am familiar with this because I've used both), and it applied the two discounts one after the other. So nothing would surprise me with eBay.

  • I have recently made an offer on an item in a similar circumstance as this.

When you click the make offer, after entering the figure, you have to put payment details in which will be charged if the seller accepts the offer. There is also a separate box here to add any discount codes that maybe available, it tells you whether they are accepted or not. After that the total of what you would pay is then displayed before you submit the offer.

I've found you can try all the codes to check and if you are not happy press the back key to cancel everything. Hope that helps.
  • Yes you still get the discount.
