Booster offered
I have just received an email saying that I am eligible for a seasonal booster vaccine...I am 49 and do not fit any of the other criteria...are they offering it to people who are borderline too due to low uptake?

Event cancellation - Covid no longer covered
Really annoyed with Ticket Seller seetickets.com who sold me tickets for The Enchanted Forest in Pitlochry. Was taking grandson today but he tested positive for Covid yesterday so no intention of going and spreading it around (especially as would have involved 2 hour bus journey each way). Had taken out refund protection…

Booster refused because of incorrect entry on vaccination record
I’ve already commented about this under the “Booster Offered “ thread, but my experience might help others so I’m posting a new thread with a more descriptive title. I went to a walk-in centre for my autumn Covid booster but was refused because my vaccination record said that I had already had it! When I looked at the NHS…

When should I test?
I have been in the company of people who have tested positive for covid. When would be the best time to do my first test? If it's negative, do I continue to test daily and how long for? I really don't want to pass it onto the rest of my household who are having their boosters this week.

Which Covid test for those with symptoms?
My wife
went on a cruise Sunday 4th to Sunday 11th last week. She
had a negative test in a Pharmacy on Friday 2nd, two days before
sailing. She
developed Covid Symptoms on Saturday 10th. She felt awful for two to
three days but is thankfully now starting to feel better. On Monday
12th I got her a Covid-19 Self-Testing…

Advice on getting a refund on a cancelled event – Tony Robbins Unleash the power course
Hi all I’m after advice for a friend. He booked to go onto a kind of ‘personal improvement’ type course last year, with the course due to go ahead in Birmingham at the end of May (2020). Due to the Covid 19 situation the course has had to be cancelled, and the organisers have set up a new course in October 2020. Like a lot…

SEISS and compliance review even though I met the criteria
I've had a letter today about my 3 SEISS payments in 2020 (2) and 2021 (1) and a compliance review. I met the criteria for the first 3 grants (this was shown online) and got those, I didn't get the 4th grant. I submitted tax returns for all previous years to 2019. Then I submitted 2020-2021, next one is 2021-2022. I didn't…

Bounce Back Loan
So I had a contract end in Jan 2020 then Covid hit in March 2020. I struggled to get work and took the BBLS £35k. Didn't work again until Feb 2021 on a short contract which I was offered to turn perm, and took due to not feeling confident in the market any longer. I took interest only payment holidays and on my 3rd…

FFP2 Masks DIY vs Pharmacy
Apart from the rip off price difference - is there any difference in these 2 face masks? Flying to Italy who require masks which comply to FFP2 standards - but only once you actually land in Italy! And only on the bus from the airport to the hotel. https://www.screwfix.com/p/disposable-half-masks-p2-5-pack/682kh (99p for…

Changing tax code back after claiming wfh relief
I was required to work from home in the tax year 21/22, so I claimed the working-from-home tax relief. In Aug '21 my tax code was 1275L and in Sept '21 it changed to 1288L, which I presume was HMRC applying the tax relief. My payslips have all shown 1288L since then. I am not eligible for the tax relief in the 22/23 tax…

Covid & Work
I've tested positive for Covid for the second time. First time was last October when things were different and you had to isolate. I'm not sure what the rules are now. I've been told to come in if I feel ok. I don't, so not going in. But what if in a couple of days I do feel ok, do I go in? I work in a well known…

Annual leave reimbursement if off with covid... Rights??!
I was off last year in November with Covid... One of those days fell on a day that I had booked annual leave. I was told that I would get that back. It never happened. I've just queried it with HR and they have said too much time has lapsed so therefore not entitled to it back! Can they do this?! I cannot find anything…

Long Covid and Work
Just after a bit of advice really. Ended up getting covid last year. Was really poorly for quite some time. First time I had off from work in all my working life so it felt strange and a bit of guilt crept in as when others have been off, the caseload drops onto the others in the team. GP kept giving me sick notes and told…

Test and Trace
I’ve just had a text message from TraceAlerts telling me I’ve been in close contact with someone who’s got Omnicrom and to get a PCR test. Is this a scam as I thought test and trace had ended? Thanks.
