nursery is introducing 'stretched funding' - which I find it unfair
I'm seeking opinions and suggestions on this matter. Currently, we qualify for 30 hours of funding, and our child attends a private nursery full-time (50 hours). Consequently, during term time, we pay for 20 hours of childcare along with additional activities and meals. During term breaks, we cover the full 50 hours. Now,…

Normally 50/50 residency - but what happens if one parent goes away?
Hi, I just wanted to get a view on what should happen if the set up is 50/50 shared residency with no maintenance either way, but then one of the parents goes away for 6 weeks. Technically, should the parent that is going away pay any maintenance for basic needs for those 6 weeks, or not? TIA

I have a HMCTS Tribunal v. CMS and ex-husband. Do I need to be represented? Or do I represent myself? Any experience would be very helpful. I have been waiting 15 months for this hearing. It relates to non-disclosure of income.

Affordable and high quality SEN tuition
My DD needs some extra tuition. She is at primary school (Year 4) and has special educational needs. Where can I find an experienced SEN tutor who is not too expensive? I have applied for an EHCP but am not hopeful this will given or that there will be any extra funding for her.

Redundancy & Child Maintenance
Hi, I'm due to be made redundant this month after 13 years service. Having googled the thread title I'm not really any further forward as per my liability if any? Does the tax free amount count or is it separate? Do I keep paying the same amount until I find new employment and then recalculate what I'm due. I don't want to…

Delivery of New Extended Free 15/30 hours Childcare in 2024
Our child turns 3 mid April 2024 and under the current system qualifies for the "30 hours" of funding however this cannot be claimed until the 1st Sept 2024, (we will miss out on nearly 5 months of funding but that's another matter!). However... the saving grace was in the Spring budget when the chancellor announced that…

Tax Free Childcare Return to Work
We’d like to open a Tax-Free Childcare account for our child going to nursery in January. My wife is currently on maternity leave. Her return to work date is mid-November, however she will immediately be taking all her accrued annual leave so she won’t technically be ‘working’ until the start of January. The scheme rules…

CMS Calculation
Looking for some advice on CM payments as we've shared responsibility so far but the arrangement is changing. I will be looking after our son 5 nights while he has him 2 nights. I've calculated (based on ex's income of around 5 years ago) that he should be paying around £40 a week - I'm pretty confident this would be…
