Between my wife and I we currently just rise above the £100k gross earnings limit for the current tax year, however this won't be the case come the new tax year in April 2024 as our earnings will be below that. If we don't apply before March though we will not be able to claim it until the next term.....but in March we can't say that we qualify in the 'current' tax year! Seems like a bit of a catch 22 but if anyone has any advice please say

Similar situation here. As it’s the new tax year you would have thought it should reset. I spoke to an accountant earlier and the advice from HMRC isn’t clear and no one seems to know. What happens if you qualify and then don’t qualify? Do you have to pay it back.

Can’t you put into a private pension to reduce income below £100k. Depends if you have the spare cash to do so0

Are you not asked about your expected income for the next three months, not the income for the previous year.
