Hi
I'm confused with where I stand regarding maintenance for my son. He is 18 this year and is expected to attend university. I do not know which one as I have been completely cut off by the mother and her family (long and painful story!). I have spoken with CMS, who manage the case, who have told me that they would not require any proof from the mother, they will just take her word for it if she says my son is not at uni ! The CMS were quite dismissive with me. I'm assuming I have to prove whether my son is going to uni or not? Has anyone else been told this by CMS and , if so, how do I go about it if I don't know where he's going? Perhaps I will have to hire a private detective!?

Simple 1st check would be via social media to see if you can find him.Life in the slow lane0

Perhaps get somebody else to search social media for you. Facebook is likely to offer the person being searched your profile as a possible friend at some point, which could lead to the privacy levels being upped if they are low at the moment, if you son doesn't want you to know what he is up to.
