I received a cheque from HMRC for a tax rebate many months ago which I'd totally forgotten about until now.I understand that banks won't process a cheque if it's past 6 months from the issue date which is the case here. Will HMRC re-issue it if I call them and explain?

Good morning, I recently opened a tsb account and deposited some cash. Yesterday, after buying some items individually, my contactless and PIN didn't work.
