personal finance software

I have used Quicken and Moneydance in the past and am now looking for new Personal Finance software. I don't mind paying a small amount for it. Quicken seems to be the one to use - but only in the US! Microsoft Money is no longer available either. Excel is just not going to work for me - my excel skills are not good enough to recreate the functionality of Quicken. What are people using?

About 18 months ago I finally got to the end of my patience with Microsoft Money. I was using a version with a bunch of downloaded bodgy fixes and add-ons to make it work on modern Windows and to make the stock quotes work.
I evaluated some of the most popular free and open sources programs and settled on KMyMoney. Like all of them it has its quirks but it was closest to what I needed. However, everyone wants different things so just try a few.1 -
I use MMEX. Free and it works well for my needs. It is actively developed. I've used it for years.

Another vote for AceMoney. I've had it for years. Serves me well.MoneyManager Ex looks good, too. If I was starting over (i.e., if I wasn't already committed to AceMoney), I'd give it serious consideration.2

I use MS Money 2005 UK edition. You should be able to find it with Google and it still works on Windows 10 and 11.
MoneyWiz is a modern one that has good reviews. I played with it a bit and I think it's my backup contender to MS Money if that ever stops working. Might be Mac/iOS only though?

Still use Quicken (95) , much better than others I have used. Would be lost without it.0

I use MoneyDance. It’s a bit clunky in places but does what I need it to. I don’t use any of the budgeting tools or reports - just use it to track payments and account levels0

Ooh, I've not heard of that one. Does it show future payments and allow you to look ahead to your position in, say, a month?

I have a similar question. I've been using BankTree for several years but I'm frustrated with it's usability. Despite it having some links to some UK banks it's not easy to keep on top with the imported transactions, basically you have to go through each line on each account indvidually. It's not bad when it comes to managing investments but again it's really clunky. It does at least update share and bond prices automatically unlike some others I've looked at (PocketSmith as an example). So what I'm looking for is something which can help my husband and I manage our day to day finances, plus investments and pensions all in one place without me having to spend hours entering data. Considering there are so many open bank feeds these days I would hope that this wasn't beyond the whit of man.I've looked at the suggestions above and while they may be good they are a step backwards as far as I can see.0
