Is it sensible/worth renewing BB contract with BT early?
Currently paying £22.99pm for Fibre 1 BB which gives me 80/20 speeds ( just as if I was on Fibre 2). Contract due to end on 1st December. I have just had an email offering an "early renewal deal" but I'm not interested in any of the dearer packages as I don't need anything better than I have. I did notice that I can renew…

Sky & BT Sport on Community Fibre
Does anyone have any experience of getting Sky Sports and BT Sport when you're broadband is with Community Fibre. Presumably, you can get NOW TV and BT Sports on the app on your Smart TV and pay for them monthly? Also, could you use an old Talk Talk Youview box as a Freeview receiver so you wouldn't need to get the…

Problem with Virgin Media
I have been a loyal Virgin Media customer for 20 years and every time my contract finishes I’m able to get a good customer loyalty discount from them that I can afford and is cheaper than the competitors. Anyway, my 18 months contract with them with broadband and landline is due to end again and my bill has now went up. I…

Can you use ANY of the various Three Pay Monthly SIMs in a Mifi device for Broadband?
Not sure whether this is for the Mobiles thread, or Broadband. Can anyone clarify the answer to below please? On the "Three" website, they list deals for "Pay Monthly SIM Only Deals" and it says on the page that the benefits include "Personal Hotspot" in the UK. Currently doing Unlimited Data on a 24 month contract for £22…

broadband cooling off period
hi all two broadband companies have told me that the 14day cooling off period starts on the day you sign up and not when your service goes live.. given that it takes 2 weeks (at least) for the kit to arrive and get started, this gives you no time to see if the service you have committed to works or is right for you..…

Help ( part 2 )
Apologies for reposting this again. I was responding to shiraz99 and tried to do a quote return message and for some reason won’t let me post it. Anyway if you are still there, Shiraz, the answer to your last question regarding Now b/b is that I used to have fab fibre with them.

Are Broadband providers just playing it safe?
I nearly signed up for the Vodafone £205 deal but was put off by a number of things, one of which was a low guaranteed speed of 27mb whether I chose 36mb or 65mb So after reading other posts on this forum I saw a referral to BT checker and got the listing below. If I am reading this right I should be able to get 65mb or…

Full Fibre 100 Halo 3 with Complete Wi-Fi - £49.99pm - is it worth it?
Hi, Id like a faster internet connection. BT have offered me a 24 month contract at £49.99pm. This is their Full Fibre 100 Halo 3 with Complete Wi-Fi package. I cant see why BT's offer is so much more than others - for example Plusnet Unlimited Fibre Extra which is only £24.99pm I suppose Plusnet's package offered 64 -…

How is it fair to have a 14 day cooling off period when it takes 14 days to be connected?
I ordered Plusnet's VDSL2 ("Unlimited Fibre Extra" - average speed of 66Mbit download). It took 14 days for it to be connected, and then another 14 days for their line tests to settle on the final speed, which is 36Mbit - the same as their cheaper VDSL1 package ("Unlimited Fibre" - average 36Mbit download). The cabinet is…

Looking at changing broadband supplier, but for some reason and apart from virgin the broadband websites are stating that my landline number is not connected to my house? So therefore it also says that super fibre or whatever they call it, is not available in my area yet and then puts me on to broadband supplier’s highest…

Advice about Vodafone Amazon voucher
I recently moved home and decided to get Vodafone's broadband, which allows you to claim an Amazon voucher. I started the setup process online and put in my new postcode. This was about a week before I actually moved. When it came to put in my card details, it said (something like) "the card registered to this address". Of…

Virgin Broadband
Took advantage of the Moneysavingexpert Virgin broadband offer in June. Ordered online and received email confirmation of the order with correct details on it. Installation due today (2 weeks later) but no engineer. Called Virgin to be told that my order 'didn't push through' and therefore wasn't valid. Couldn't tell me…

Plusnet Broadband + Line Rental
HiI've just got off the phone to Plusnet and they've confused me even more than when I started. In September 2020 I took out a 24 month contract for £20.99 for fibre extra, line rental and evening/weekend calls. I took advantage of their line rental saver so paid the first year's line rental upfront which meant I was only…

Will I lose Virginmedia emails if I cancel the contract
I have been with virgin media ever since I first got on line and I have broadband and TV with them and it is now ridiculously expensive. The only reason i have stayed with them is that I am frightened of losing my email address, which I know will happen if I cancel the contract. I have worked out that I can start giving…

Virgin media impossible
I have been a virgin media customer for years now. In that time I have moved 3 times and always stayed with them. I am paying £87 a month for my tv, phone and broadband and have been paying that for a long time now, even though I knew I was paying more than I should. I’ve always been too lazy/loyal to change. However,…

Virgin Media Debt collection letter. No Virgin Media account!
My husband received a letter in February from Virgin Media saying that we had defaulted on a credit agreement. It doesn't say what for. Also, no money has been taken out of his bank account. We ignored it because we have never had any dealings with Virgin Media and thought it was a scam, however every month the letters…

Wi-fi for village hall
I'm the treasurer of a small village hall in a rural area. We've decided to look at offering wi-fi for users, but I'm not sure the best way of going about this, or how much it might cost. There isn't a landline at the hall, so I guess we are looking at some sort of mobile wi-fi using a phone network signal. Any help or…
