Stop Sky for 2 months then re start ?
I pay about £67 a month for my Sky package and I have a 2 month holiday planned for later in the year. Is it a simple matter to cancel the complete package for 2 months and re start it when I get home? Or should I just downgrade the package to the cheapest possible and restart when I get home ? Thanks in advance.

Moving and ditching Sky quickly
After a recent thread posting (thanks all for your help) I'm going to ditch Sky and go either FreeSat or YouView in my new property My question is: we may be moving quite quickly but I do not want to cancel Sky/start the process until we know we are going and roughly when. Once we know and are all working toward an agreed…

So chatting to the virgin salesman, he thinks that Sky HD+ on demand multi room won't work with a virgin phone line plugged into it. Something about the ability to buy on demand can't be activated through a virgin phone line??? Anyone know what this means and if it is true?

Sky Home Move - What Should They Do?
I used the Sky home move service paying £25 for this. I expected the dish and cabling to be replaced but the guy basically came in, checked the system was working and left. Having already had connected it up the night before I feel a little cheated. Do they only change things if there is a fault now? Last time I moved…

Sky doesn't make sense
A bloke at the shopping centre stopped me to ask if I was interested in Sky TV. I watch a few shows they have, so I decided to hear what he had to say. This is where it gets weird. Apparently you pay them a subscription but the programmes still have adverts in them! I'd be livid if half way through DVD some adverts came…

Sky's gone.. so freesat or smart tv? Is there anything that does both?
Hi, Sorry, ditsy here. I got rid of sky (too expensive) but I want to be able to record my favourite shows. I was recommended to get a Humax box, that would allow me to record etc, but I'm now wondering if smart tv's do that? My TV is poorly (speakers blown), and I was given a £200 bonus at work today, which will be paid…

Please help work out before I go mad.....
Hello everyone. I left sky at beginning of June as I was going to go to Virgin. A couple of days ago I received an email stating that if I returned I would have 60% off any sky bundle for 12 months and £50 bill credit. Spoke to live chat who said he could not find the exact offer but would match it as close as he could,…

Netflix free trial?
Hi all Next month I will be phoning Sky to renegotiate my contract and I am definitely considering cancelling everything (TV/Phone/BB). I reckon they will probably price match the Phone and BB from SSE but I still want to cancel TV as its too expensive. As an alternative I was considering Amazon Prime or Netflix in…

Getting a TV licence refund - another scam!
Ever tried to get a refund from TVL, maybe because you're a student vacating your term-time living accommodation? Okay, so they don't really want to give you a refund and make it as difficult as possible to claim it via their website, but get this: I applied for a refund three weeks ago and as of today no cheque had turned…

As good as it gets?
Just trying to get a deal for my parents. Last 3 payments where £100 plus through Virginmedia, which for the package they have is far too much. They currently have TV - L with Sky Sports, 50Mb Fibre and line rental. Sky offering given similar package is £54.15 for 12 months then £86.90 for the remaining 6 (phone/broadband…

Blocking iPlayer Live Streams
The BBC has recently started to add live iPlayer streams to some devices that previously only had Catch-up (and were therefore available to use without a TV Licence). My view is that this doesn't necessarily make the devices licenceable, but it creates more of a grey area than some people may be comfortable with. My…

TV Licensing and new Sky
I moved into my own place seven months ago and didn't purchase a TV licence, as my terrestrial signal is so bad that it's impossible to get a clear picture and the sound is staticky. I live in a block of flats, so went in search of the communal satellite aerial only to discover that it was connected to all my neighbours…
