MP3/4 recommendations please?
Complete newbie looking for advice on a player for my son's 13th birthday. He has just started taking an interest in downloading music, and no longer approves of my tastes, so takes his tablet out in the car with us so he doesn't have to put up with the radio stations I choose! A player with FM tuner would be good (we are…

Mini techie rant
It's just a moan because I know it won't change anything, and it's in here because only techies will probably appreciate it... I am fed up of payment processes implemented by idiots and muppets. Just been trying to join up to a martial arts class I did a sample class of last week. The only way to sign up (apparently) is…

Advice please: I want to securely dispose of a dead laptop. :( (I dropped it, paid £25 to find out there was no obvious quick fix, and decided not to pay out more only to find it wasn't repairable.) Comodo - how to get rid?
I've been setting up a new laptop. I've used the free Zone Alarm for years so downloaded it from File Hippo. In the installation process I came to a window with option to tick ZA as my search engine and something else. Passed on that, but the next window was basically insisting that I ticked the relevant boxes, or the…

White Flickering Screen
A few months back I was having trouble with my laptop. The HD was almost full, the blue screen of death had started to appear on a regular basis and often when I’d started the laptop on battery power or take it out of sleep a white screen appeared. If you shut the lid on the computer and lifted it again that quite often…

No Ethernet Port
I've just purchased a new Dell XPS-12 Duo laptop / tablet and to keep the design slim, they've not put an Ethernet port on it. This has not prevented me connecting wirelessly to my TP-Link ADSL router TD-W8968, but now I've got a challenge ... how to get it to 'talk' to my LaserJet HP1015 printer which is connected to the…
