VideoPlus+ Codes
Can someone please explain why the Radio Times and other listings magazines still print VideoPlus+ codes? I thought they were only used with old, analogue VCR’s and that they would become redundant after DSO. But apparently not so, as they live on into the digital era.

Warning for BT Yahoo email users
... messages you send may be blocked as "Spam" by other email services and don't get through, and you may not even know it. I've had this when trying to send to peoples' accounts on two other email services. And someone else I know with a BT Yahoo account has had the same problem. But even worse, the notification message…

Phone socket not working....
Hi everyone It's not really a money saving issue more of a technical one - I live in a rented flat. One phone line socket works - but another one in the bedroom doesn't. I want to move my computer, etc, to the bedroom while the heatwave is on as it's always cool in there. So wondering does anyone know why a phone socket…

Computer recommendation
Me and my friends are thinking of setting up a printing business. We will need a computer that can handle all the graphics work (we will be using CorelDraw) and all other things we need to do for our business. No budget at the moment but we will be launching a Kickstarter campaign to fund the business at the start.

Laptop recommendation...
I am looking to get a laptop to write my dissertation on. All I will be using is Word, Dropbox, Zotero and Chrome to do general browsing. Battery life isn't that important because it will stay in my study area in the library all day, perhaps just being put in a locker at night. I have one of the old Asus EEE netbooks which…

LCD/LED tv fault
I've got a 2yo led/LCD tv. Cost £1700  from John Lewis. So 5 year guarantee phew.....got an engineer coming Wednesday. There is a vertical strip towards the left of the screen. It's about 2 1/2 inches thick. It's transparent, in some scenes, not visible, some grey, some light blue. This TV is wall mounted and hasn't…

Good quality 10 inch tablet
Hi, I'm looking for my first tablet. I've decided on 10 inch because I'll be spending most of my time web browsing, and a 7 inch screen would require far too much zooming and panning. So I've been looking at the following tablets: Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (£229) Asus MeMO pad Smart 10 (£229) Archos 97 Titanium (£189) -…

Brand New Samsung laptop- connectivity issues
I bought a Samsung Notebook from Costco last month as a replacement for my previous laptop which had died. I didn't use it right away however since trying to use it I've experienced major issues with internet connectivity. If I'm lucky enough to get connected to websites the response time is horrendous - I actually was…

Opinions on refurbished PC
Having said for years that I'll never get a PC again I'm now reconsidering. Don't need anything spectacular. Mostly browsing the web and working on spreadsheets - Excel & Googledocs mostly. Also a few small programs running in the background if I forget to close them. I do tend to have a few tabs open with Chrome &…

Lg37620t
Hi all I'm after a Smart 3d TV but don't want to spend too much. Richer Sounds are currently offering the LG37620T for £399... Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I'm aware that the Smart features do not rival Samsung but I believe the 3D and picture quality are rather good. My only concern is with the Hz rate which is…
