Hi all
I'm after a Smart 3d TV but don't want to spend too much. Richer Sounds are currently offering the LG37620T for £399...
Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I'm aware that the Smart features do not rival Samsung but I believe the 3D and picture quality are rather good.
My only concern is with the Hz rate which is 400. I was staggered to see the difference between 50hz and 100hz in Panasonic TVs, in terms of motion. I understand that different manufacturers have their own indexes? Does anyone know whether the LG is ok here - flicker free etc.?
I'm open to other suggestions up to £500 if anyone has any.
Many thanks

LG's "Smart TV" internet options are not the greatest but works for me (usually only use LoveFilm and BBC iPlayer) as well as the DNLA feature (I store most of my media on a low Power Pc under the TV)
As for 400hz refresh I don't think it will make that much of a difference since most HD and Blu-Ray are in 60hz or 120hz and any extra hz are just extrapolated from the source using the TV's own formula (so what looked good at 200hz on one brand, on another at 400mz it might look worse.) As long as it's good at 120hz you'll be fine!
As for 3D LG's Passive "Cinema 3D" in my view is excellent. Uses same glasses as you get at the cinema so you can never run out of the dam things! (if you're like me and keep forgetting to remove the "add £1 for 3D glasses" tick box when you go to the cinema!) It's great watching fast motion in 3D when using Blu-Ray (none of the headache inducing flicker you can get with fast motion 3D at the cinema.)
The only weak point with LG 3D is the "Upscale 2D-to-3D" gimmick , it's not that "things-pop-out-at-you", their is a slight depth feeling to the image but it's very slight!Laters

Great response S0litaire, much obliged.
I'll go and check it out but I think I'm sold on this one now.0
