I am looking to replace my old FetchTV FreeviewHD box to a newer one.
I am looking specifically with the capability to connect wirelessly to my home wifi network, continous updates from the company, be able to connect my portable hard drive to watch my movies (mainly .mp4 & .mkv files) and play MP3 files as well, can record one tv show whilst watching a second one and compatible with 1080p video and all the usual Dolby sound enhancements. Catch-up TV like BBC iPlayer is a must but having apps is just a plus.
Heard of Samsung, Humax, View21, Philips, Panasonic but dunno which to choose. My budget is £200.
Any advice please? Thanks.

Haha, well I've got a wee bit of advice - I think Gino will find it difficult to find what he wants. BTW Gino - you know what you want - why not use Google, retailers and manufacturers websites to find it? Come on here and ask for personal experience of whatever model you find?
Anyway - 1080p - not broadcast in UK, only 1080i. I haven't heard of a Freeview HD box that CAN'T output 1080p.
If I was buying I'd have a Youview box. It doesn't have WiFi (but does have LAN), and like any other USB connection, I can't guarantee it'll play every single movie.
It sounds like you actually want a computer under your TV, with a couple of TV tuner cards...0
