Use a wireless router as WIFI adapter?
I have a spare netgear WIFI router and was wondering if I could use it as a WIFI adapter with my Sony Bravio TV? The TV can be connected to the internet but it needs a special Sony WIFI adapter. I know the answer is to just try it BUT that means disrupting my wife's TV viewing, so if it is not going to work, it will save…

Disappearing Freeview chanels
My toshiba freeview HD recorder was working perfectly until Saturday when it lost all the HD chanels and some ordinary ones. I tried re-tuning and the usual 'switching off and on' wich didn't help. "Tinny sound" on new TV
Bought a 22inch Logic Led TV with built in DVDplayer for the bedroom and the sound is awful. :( I know you get what you pay for and owing to the "slimness" of TV's now, this is a problem. I have tried altering the settings but can't see it makes much difference. Is there anything I can do to improve the sound such as…

Any Avira problems?
I'm seriously considering moving back to Avast. Win7 Home Premium 64 bit, 4GB ram BTW. I'm a long time user of Avira and have never had a problem with it, until this week. Sunday at around 10.00pm it updated and everything came to a halt for around 15mins. Palemoon was showing 'not responding', Thunderbird wouldn't run.…

Not sure if this is the right forum but.... I was just sitting here browsing, got my dressing gown on and suddenly it felt like my leg was burning. iPod Nano 1st Gen replacement scheme
Hi everyone, I had an email today informing me of this scheme which claims that there is some kind of problem with some of the older iPod nano batteries and that Apple will replace your iPod with a new version for you. I was a bit apprehensive at first that it might be a scam so had a bit of a search through Apple's…

Hey everyone. I updated to Firefox 8 yesterday but I seem to not have the ability for the link address to be at the bottom when I hover over links anymore.:o I used to like being able to see the full address at the bottom when I hovered because it meant that I could see if links were dodgy etc. Does anyone know if there is…

Ipad: 64GB first-generation, or 32GB second-generation?
Hi all, OK, it looks as if we're getting a "family" Ipad for christmas this year. Having done some sums and research, it looks as if the budget (around £400-ish) will stretch to either a 32GB Ipad 2, or a refurbished 64GB Ipad 1. We're looking to put quite a bit of music on it, and the odd movie here and here for holidays…

Old(er) or second hand software . . .
I have almost completed an adult evening course on webdesign and now want to get my hands on Dreamweaver version 8. Setting up some kind of mini private 'forum'?
I'd like to look into setting up some kind of private forum to help organise and aid communication between committee members for a small charity. Does anyone have any ideas for something to use that is quick to set up, easy to use and free? Not too keen on Yahoo groups, what other options are there? Thanks!
