all depends on how much you have to spend and if it HAS to be from chillblastDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
Thanks gonzo.
No, it doesn't have to be chillblast, its just that they get good reviews at PCA
Max £1800. as I'd like to get a new monitor as well.
I've also noticed this company this morning, some nice rigs there to.

Would you consider building a machine yourself? For a few hours work you can get exactly what you want, and would save a couple hundred pounds.
At this price it's tempting to go for the SB-E processors, the 3930K was released two days ago for about £480, and I mention that because Chillblast just released a new build that incorporates it for exactly £1800. But that doesn't include a monitor and I'm not sure it's great value for money.
What I'd do is get a good motherboard with the Z68 chipset, add a top of the range i7-2600k processor, H100 water cooler, a GTX 580 1.5GB graphics card, plus a 128GB Crucial M4 SSD for the OS/games/drivers and two Samsung Spinpoint F1 HDDs for storing data and media. 750W PSU and a good set of 8GB RAM , overclock the CPU, and you'll have basically the best PC money can buy without crossing the barrier where the performance/price margins start to drop (GTX 590, i7-3930K, SLI graphics, all give more but would bring the price very high).
That plus an operating system, case and DVD drive should come to no more than £1350, doing a rough calculation. Compare this to a very high spec Chillblast (Blackbird, £1450) that comes with a slightly slower graphics card (4gb 6990 vs GTX 580), less SSD/HDD space (60GB v 128GB, 1TB v 2TB), and air cooling rather than water cooling.
The last thing I'd say, looking into the future there is the Ivy Bridge release happening in Jan 2012 which is the next generation of processors. They'll stay on the same socket as the current SB processors which means if you want to upgrade you don't need a new motherboard, but seeing as its mid-November now you might want to wait a couple of months and see how the new ones perform in benchmarks.
... if you don't want to build it, then my suggestion would probably be the Blackbird + find some good peripherals. If you're still browsing, yoyotech, scan and palicomp are three more vendors that have built some pretty good PCs in the past.0 -
Thanks for the info mkw87
No, I'm not a self builder, I'd rather pay some one to do that for me.
I'm just going to have a look at you recommendations.“Everything comes to pass, nothing comes to stay.”0
