I have almost completed an adult evening course on webdesign and now want to get my hands on Dreamweaver version 8. The most up todate version of Dreamweaver is CS5 but costs about 3-400 quid and does so much wizardry I will likely never utilise its full potential.
Is it possible to get older versions of software? I've tried looking on t'interweb for Dreamweaver V8 but with no luck.
Thanks.

Older versions of Dreamweaver regularly show up on Ebay. I just got a copy of InDesign CS4 for £100.
Would you be able to get an academic licence through the place that runs the evening course?0 -

I wouldn't even consider any of those - far too great a risk of downloading and installing something that you don't want.0 -
This is the problem with these 'web design' evening courses, they invariably use an expensive software package and actually teach you nothing about the underlying structure or meaning of the code.
Now you have at least a small insight into the terms and ideas of building web pages, I'd say save your money, download a free program like Kompozer, buy a couple of web design/html/css books and teach yourself.0 -
+1 for Kompozer and also Notepad++. Between them I get my basic (vanity) site online.
I had a look at a mates CS5, confused the heck out of me.Move along, nothing to see.0
