BT Home Hub - can I leave on permanently..?

... since I have an 'anytime' plan? Or, are there any significant power consumption/overheating implications?

I'd like to stay as green as possible, all other things being equal.

Yes, yes you can. In fact it is better that you do as too many dropped connections can lead to your line being reprofiled and you getting a lower speed.
  • You might be able to set it power save mode during times of the day that it won't be used, for example night time. I know you can do this on the HomeHub3

Just go into router settings at 192.168.1.254 and power options.

If you don't use wireless you can switch that off there as well. I leave mine on but have wireless turned off as no need for it.

Mine's left on all of the time - switching off/on daily can affect your profile.

You can set the wireless bit to switch off during the night to save a little bit of power.
