Mortgage Ppi from 2002
I was sold a Norwich Union mortgage protection policy through an independent broker (now gone bust) in 2002. I have written to Aviva who took over Norwich Union and they have responded saying it is the responsibility of the independent broker. So I wrote to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme but they say that they…

could this be PPI??
Just watched Martin's slot on This Morning from Monday regarding PPI, he mentioned PPI could also be known as something along the lines of income sickness insurance/benefit. Which has got me thinking, when I took my mortgage out 9 years ago I was advised to take out a policy called income assured plus with the Cirencester…

PPI form filling mistake
Hi I'm stressing right now. Sorry for the confussing post. I looked on MSE.com and used the Reclaiming PPI tool, there is a drop down menu asking you to choose your bank account (I was doing a claim for a barclays credit card). I clicked on barclays as this is my bank account. I then filled out the form. On the form it…

PPI Claim Without Proof
Hi all, This is my first post so I'm hoping I'm not duplicating anyone else's posts. We had PPI with our pension mortgage from February 1994 to August 2001 at which time we were lucky enough to pay off the mortgage. At the time I thought I would cull the paperwork and threw away everything that related to this element of…

Trying to find Boots Dental lender name from 2004-5
As per the subject - I had a finance deal with Boots Dental back in 2004-5, it was signed when I was still a student and I am relatively certain it had PPI attached to it. However can I remember the lender name or find any records?! No I can't. And the bank account the money went from has long been closed too. Sigh. Would…

Next Retail refund for overcharged interest
A few days ago and out of the blue I received a letter and a cheque for £2.72. In typical Next fashion it said that they had overcharged me interest and had calculated what they owed me plus 8% as goodwill. Now that wasn't goodwill they had taken money that wasn't theirs and have a statutory requirement to refund it. The…

PPI claim prev refused, should I give up?
Are there any PPI experts who can advise if I should forget or fight on with this old claim of mine? I tried previously, around 2009 but was refused, but I still have the old paperwork relating to this loan and I know there have been several rulings since then that may change the outcome today. The original loan was taken…
