PPI With Woolwich B Soc.

Options
Is it possible to claim my PPI payments even though the Woolwich no longer exists. I think Barclays took them over. So can I claim from Barclays?

Depends how long ago it was and if you have documentation or not. The older the finance, the less chance records have been kept.

You are certainly entitled to complain, but what would be your complaint?

I've got the paperwork, but the PPI payments started in 1976 and went on until 1986. The Woolwich manager said that it was a condition of the mortgage.

There was no mortgage PPI in 1976, I'm afraid.

It's probable that what you had was life insurance or Mortgage Indemnity Guarantee.

Forty years ago, it's also very likely that such insurance was indeed a condition of the mortgage and as such would not be something you can complain about.

    You definitely didn't have PPI.
