Auto renewal with increased premiums
I had a home buildings and contents insurance policy for several years that renewed automatically (I received an annual letter/notification) and increased each time. From the docs I have to hand, it went from £57/month in 2007 to £99.50/month in 2013. It was foolish of me not to keep on top of it and shop around, but here…

Claiming mis-sold decreasing mortgage cover
In 2003 I bought a property as an investment with a mate of mine (we both moved in) using a mortgage with Natwest. In 2005 we switched to a mortgage with Halifax. In 2007 a local broker was able to get us a better rate than Halifax would offer us directly, so he arranged that and sold us Zurich Decreasing Mortgage Cover…

Help - Have I exhausted all claim routes?
Hi - I believe that I was mis-sold PPI with my mortgage by C&G (via Lloyds/TSB). I contacted Lloyds who said that, while they believed there were errors in the way the PPI was sold to me, that I did not have a claim. I took my claim to the Ombudsman who stated "Lloyds did not do everything they should have to make sure the…

Checking if deceased mum had PPI
MY mother died 4 years ago and I'd never really considered PPI for her, however with all the hype at the moment I've found that it is possible, I know she had loans and credit cards over the years that were all cleared before she died. My main question is whether I have to trawl through the mounds of her paperwork to check…
