Bt phone/broadband then adding BT sport
Currently have BT phone and fibre broadband. After looking at the bills and seeing that we're paying £45+ each month, I called to cancel. Even paying for 12 months upfront doesn't seem that attractive compared to other providers deals. I was told that because I'd signed up to the sport the month before, that I can't and…

Problems cancelling Talk Talk service
Hi I am in desperate need of some help. I called to give notice to cancel my Talk Talk service of broadband / phone and find out if there would be any money outstanding to pay as I am moving abroad and do not want to keep the service. I was then advised that due to the package I had which included the TV and the fact I was…

BT charging for email account
I have been with BT email for well over 10 years. When I changed my ISP some years ago BT were happy to let me continue using my BT email address. They are now changing this and if I do not change to them for phone and broadband I will need to change to another email address or pay BT £1.60 per month. I am currently with…

Looking for Free Voip-in Landline Number
Is there a service that offers free landline number, that I can use to receive calls for free. Some years ago some of the VOIP providers under the Betamax brand had a free number, but I don't think they offer that anymore. So basically I'm looking for a free UK landline number, that will ring on my computer or Android…

At my wits end with BT
I foolishly signed up to BT to provide a broadband service and associated line rental etc. The 'live' date was set for 1st August, I paid £6.50 for something and agreed to a 18 month contract. 1st Aug 2013 - Nothing, no dial tone, no broadband. Nothing! I called BT, they confirmed they would send an engineer out and that…

Moving landline from Plusnet to Primus but keep broadband with Plusnet?
I pay PlusNet £14 per month for a landline I never use to MAKE calls and £10 per month for unlimited broadband. As I never make any calls I thought I might as well move the landline to Primus and save about £7 per month. Will PlusNet let me keep my broadband with them and pass my landline to Primus? I've asked them and…

Nuisance Phone Calls
We keep on getting a nuisance (silent) phone calls from a UK number - they generally come at about 7-8 pm.. I have been registered with TPS for 5 years + and have checked on-line that we are still registered !! Is my phone provider responsible for dealing with this issue ? ie) Do they have the ability to block specific…

Keeping landline number when moving
We hope to be moving soon and want to keep our landline number (it's the same exchange). This is a two-part question! 1. We have our line rental and phone service with New Call Telecom and 18185. We don't have any service from BT. So who do we have to ask to transfer the number to the new house? 2. There may be a gap of 2…

Fibre broadband without phone?
Are there any providers which will supply a fibre line without the phone connected? I really don't use the landline any more. I know that with the old DSL setup the phone and broadband are tied, but is this still the case? Apologies if this is a stupid question! Alternatively, is there any objection from suppliers to using…

More BT woes
Pay BT bill for broadband and phone automatically by credit card every quarter. Called them last month to give new CC details as old credit card expired end Aug - got name and ref no for confirmation. Recieved latest bill asking for payment, so I don't know if it has been paid or not. I have now tried 8 times to get…

Sky offer - too good to be true?
I am currently with Primus for home phone and O2 (recently bought by Sky) for Broadband. Primus line rental is dirt cheap at around £7 per month (admitedly with no bells and whistles, but we hardly use the home phone). O2 is £12.50 per month for unlimited data (although I effectively got a year for free with when I signed…

Possibly a really stupid question
This was prompted by a £70 BT phone bill, that only included £14 worth of calls. If I switch telephone providers, do I still have to pay BT the line rental? I know it used to be the case a few years ago, I'm not sure if it's changed now though.
