No, you have to formally reject the price increase by 31/8. All covered in the news pages:

Cancelling your DD does NOT terminate your contract; do that and your credit record will be trashed. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Can i e-mail them and what does it mean argue material detriment?0

It means what it says: that you state that you wish to leave without penalty, as the price increase is 'materially detrimental' to your contract.
I have no idea how you contact them, I suggest you put it in writing by RD: you have another 13 days.No free lunch, and no free laptop
