Sky offer - too good to be true?

I am currently with Primus for home phone and O2 (recently bought by Sky) for Broadband. Primus line rental is dirt cheap at around £7 per month (admitedly with no bells and whistles, but we hardly use the home phone). O2 is £12.50 per month for unlimited data (although I effectively got a year for free with when I signed up as the cashback was so generous). So I'm effectively paying £20 a month going forwards.

Now that my initial 12 month contracts have expired I am looking around for better deals. I was tempted by the Talk Talk £10 a month phone and broadband bundle that Martin was promoting recently and signed up yesterday. However this prompted an email from my broadband provider this morning encouraging me to see what they could offer instead.

I'm just off the phone with Sky and they are offering the following for £7.25 per month (for the first 12 months after which it would revert to the standard price of £54 per month, but I can then cancel).

- line rental, including free weekend calls
- broadband (unlimited data)
- Sky entertainment extra plus TV package (doesn't include sports or movies, but pretty much everything else)
- Sky HD+ box
- Free installation of any dishes/wiring we may need

We don't watch that much TV so I don't know too much about the TV package, but the Sky box sounds good (can pause live TV and record up to 500 GB). We currently watch FreeSat via our TV and a Sky dish installed by the previous resident.

Can anyone think of a good reason to say no to this?! I was assured by Sky that I could still cancel the TalkTalk offer I signed up to yesterday, even though I paid for a year's line rental in advance.
If I had a pound for every time I didn't play the lottery...

talk talk is naff, its cheap and cheap for a reason
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Thanks for the tip off. Can the same be said for Sky? They are offering me an even cheaper deal!

I found Sky BB to be great.

Not as good as O2 (downloaded over 700Gb one month, they said nothing), but Sky were fine :)
The only reason I switched from them is I moved to a fiber enabled area, of which Sky didn't do fiber until I had signed.

Signed a second 12 month deal with Virgin Media for about £15 a month for 30Mb BB only - don't need/want anything else.

...not sure that you will get your advance line rental back - non refundable?

I've been assured that I will, but I'll double check. Thanks.

Any link to this. I just spoken to them, the cheapest line rental you could get is when you pay for 12 months in advance which is £120.
Also I have been spending time looking for this, but could not find it.

Do you have reference such as a link written confirmation. The problem here is that you can not rely on phone conversation as a proof in the future if something go wrong.

My worry is the statement " revert to the standard price of £54 per month, but I can then cancel". No reference time needed to maximum time to take to cancel it . Could you cancel it within one month or need few months to cancel it or even a year ?. If so you will get stunk of £54 a month which is unbelievably overprice.
