Is there a service that offers free landline number, that I can use to receive calls for free.

Some years ago some of the VOIP providers under the Betamax brand had a free number, but I don't think they offer that anymore.

So basically I'm looking for a free UK landline number, that will ring on my computer or Android phone using VOIP software, when someone calls it.

I see they offer only 0845 and 0870 numbers and I'm looking for a 020 (London) number.

I've been searching all afternoon and it looks like http://www.3c.co.uk/sites/ukddi/ is the only place where you can get a free geographical UK number.
Unfortunately there are no numbers available within the London area code, so I will have to settle with a number from a different city.

Any other site that offers that?

I dont know where you get that idea from they offer UK 01/02 numbers free currently offering 020 3 numbers.

Select 020 London and it gives you a choice of 020 number,0845, or 0870.

These people also offer a free number https://www.net-telco.net/freenumber as do http://www.coms.com/single-line-users.html but you may have to make a small top to activate.

    0203 is a 020 number ;)

I've registered with Sipgate, but it only gave me a choice between 0845 and 0870 numbers :(
Can you change it after registration?

Did i suggest it wasnt a 020 number. Some peeps dont like the 020 3 range and prefer 020 7 or 020 8 hence me mentioning what they are currently providing.

I am not sure what you did not to get offered a 020 number as it offers me one every time together with the option of 0845 or 0870.

    Your get a choice of
    United Kingdom, London
    United Kingdom, local - 0845
    United Kingdom, national - 0870

Tick the Box for UK London.

I doubt you can change it . Register again using new user name and a different email addie.;)
