Abroad Tel
I've used the callchecker to find a cheap call provider which allows international calls via an 0844 number. However, the second call quality was poor but is it possible to get a refund on these calls, seeing as they are actually charged by my telephone company?

Dialaround access nos
Apologies if this has been covered already, but I was just looking at Dialaround's website, and it appears that the numbers to dial for cheap access to 0870/0845 has changed slightly. At present, I have my Orchid dialler set for 0844 566 7575 for 0870 nos. It would now appear that the correct no is 0844 566 7676. For 0845,…

Staples/Vonage Linksys Broadband router, 2 tel sockets £29.99
Staples have a Linksys broadband router with 2 ethernet and 2 rj11 VOIP telephone sockets priced at a reasonable £30-1p. This means you could have two dect phones connected to it. The staff were a little clueless as to what was involved, presumably as Vonage is in large print on the box it must be locked to their server,…

Make some money out of cold callers
I was talking to my wife earlier and saying why don't we get a premium rate number and use this for all of the forms we fill in with companies. By this I mean the ones that will lead to going onto cold caller data bases. Then when these companies call you, they will end up paying for the call and you will make some money…

18866 Non BT access number
Today I used the 0808 access number on my father's BT landline to attempt to make 2 calls. The first was successful, the second a recorded voice said "this service is no longer available". Since my father is on a reduced line rental tariff, is this a new policy by BT?
