Ok, happy to admit I have my thick head on tonight...........if I was in Canada and wanted to phone an Inverness landline (Inverness code is 01463) and the phone number was 123456 what would I have to dial?

I've just had a look at a code website and I don't understand if I have to dial a number to get out of Canada first, then a UK code then Inverness etc.

Can someone put me out of my misery please?

(Edinburghlass-move to other board if need be.)

Thanks VERY much! Head was getting thoroughly confused. I was obviously looking at the wrong thing at one point as I had two different versions.

    Much appreciated.

Edited to add.....good site, thanks. Added to favourites now, lol.

On a moneysaving note, where will you be calling from? If it's a Hotel room it won't be cheap. When I'm across the pond I always buy a pre paid calling card, you'll find them in supermarkets, drug stores etc. You dial a freephone number, enter the PIN from the card & then dial home.
