Using dialwise (0870 Access Number) with NTL
Hi After using martins excellant international call checker I found dialwise (08444394646) is the cheapest to where I want to call at 3p per minute! I was just wondering however, is 3p per minute the Total charge for using them or do NTL charge me something like 5p per minute and then dialwise charge me 3p per minute. I'v…

Cheapest calls to mobiles
I wondered if anyone had thought of registering the 0844 ... numbers recently shown as the cheapest way to phone mobiles during the week as "friends and family" numbers with BT, and get the additional discount available with these? Regards, Colin

Ha Ha BT!
Sorry, just had to post on here. After spending £30 per month on BT phone bills (and having a debit balance of £85), I decided to go with 18866 in January. 5 months later, my debit balance is £8 and they have just agreed to cut my monthly payments to £20 p/m. Another 6 months and hopefully it'll be down to the absolute…

Last time I looked though, it wasn't cheap to call the Middle East with this type of provider (18866). Is anyone calling the Middle East, any thoughts…

Faxing from Broadband
I watched a programme a while back where people were using their broadband modems to send faxes but it didnt really go into much detail. Is this possible? I dont really want to have to pay a monthly subscription as I would probably only send about 2 a month if that.

Dialwise charges
Can anyone tell me if the billing is per second as I can't find this info on their site. Also note that they charge as soon as connection is made, even if the dialed number is not answered. From their site:- "When do call charges take effect? You will be charged from the moment you are connected to our service, not the…

1899 woes
Decided to start using 1899 in combination with Dialwise (the guys with the 4p/min from landline to mobile) and Tiscali CPS since my call pattern doesn't give me the best deal with any single one of them by themselves. Signing up to Tiscali was a doddle. and using Dialwise is not beyond my wits....but 1899 (which I want to…

Abroadtel numbering range!!!
https://www.abroadtel.co.uk use there numbering range quite cleverly. You will notice that the last 2 no,s in there dialling codes equals the cost of the call.eg 0844 721 00 01(1p a min). 0844 747 00 02(2p a min). 0844 399 00 04(4p a min). and so on, and so on. What happens if the prices change?

I have had Amstrad Emailers for several years now; they are excellent phones / telephone answering machines / directory and Caller Identity devices. And they are CHEAP. Phone scam? 0604 5507000
I had a missed call on my home phone. Having searched the web for the above number, it cropped up in 2003 as a suspicious looking missed call on a Dutch guy's phone. If only I could read Dutch then I could follow the thread :D Does anyone have any info as to where the call originates from?

Cheaper calls to 0871 Numbers.
As some suppliers are able to allocate you a personal 0871 number which translates into your mobile no and enables you to call your mobile for 10p a min at all times.(No need for this at the mo i know with the 4/5p rates). I thought i would see if the https://www.abroadcom.co.uk allowed you to call 0871 numbers for 5p,and…

''BT Chargecard Prices''
Today we had a letter from BT which initially was very confusing. It said that ''your chargecard call costs are being reduced''. I had not even realized we HAD a BT chargecard. Farther on it stated that though call costs were going down we would have a £1.18 per quarter charge levied wether we used the card or not. It said…

I Want 2 cut my NTL bill. What is 1899?
Hi there, I am on NTL cable and would like to try to cut my bill, as I'm currently receiving benefits. I didn't think I could switch suppliers as I thought that only applied to a BT line(which would cost me lots to have installed).
