Old jeans
My son has outgrown another few pairs of jeans and most of them have holes in the knees so can't sell them on - looking for an OS way of reusing them. Was thinking of making a draught excluder for door but looking for other ideas that will reuse them x

Red spots on bedlinen
Is this mould? I don't think it's blood as they are tiny fairly even spots down towards the leg and feet-end; it looks like little specks of rust. Stepdaughter says it is. I normally change the bedlinen every week but can't manage it at the moment for mobility reasons while I've been recovering from an operation. I'm…

Gordon Ramsay's Cookery Course
Has anyone been watching it on the telly - channel 4. I am not usually fan of him but he has seduced me this time. A lot of his recipes look so cheap they are practically free. I wanted to buy the book but have resisted and ordered it from the library.

What does 6 kg of washing look like?
We have had to buy a washing machine in hurry. They never seem to last long in this house ( about 3 years) I am sure like a lot of people over load the machine so what would 6 kg of washing comprise of? Do the manufacturers count it as dry or wet when describing the load capacity? Melissa

So (as a lot of us older moneysavers know we have been here before, not quite this bad but we have been here before) and taking a deep…
