Ooh love this thread, so glad to be back on the OS board :D

I do my plan Saturday to Friday so here is Monday to Friday...

Monday - chicken, vegetable and noodle stir fry
Tuesday - mushroom risotto (new recipe supposedly diet...)
Wednesday - hairy bikers' diet 'beef and ale casserole' with mashed potatoes and veg
Thursday - I have open evening so a looooong day at work, either something from the freezer or if I get time to come home in the afternoon before going back to work, I'll make a cottage pie (having made extra mash on Wednesday) and then OH and I can eat our portions separately.
Friday - I am out for a curry with work friends, OH will have some salmon en croute from the freezer, probably with peas as the most easy veg for him to make!

Thanks for starting us off this week, Skint.

I'm scheduled for an operation on my foot on Monday so most of the week is things that need minimal cooking as I suspect it will be too painful to stand at the stove for a few days. :(

Saturday - lamb souvlaki kebabs with courgettes in tomato sauce and flatbread
Sunday - cheese and onion pie with veg
Monday - pork noodles with mini veg spring rolls (both from the freezer)
Tuesday - seafood platter (scampi, calamari rings and a fishcake) with French beans
Wednesday - lamb and squash curry with lemon rice (both from the freezer)
Thursday - pasta with pesto, tuna and cherry tomatoes
Back after a very long break!
  • Sun. Roast pork, broccoli, carrots, peas, roasties, apple stuffing

Mon. Chicken & mushroom pie, new pots, veg

Tue. Chicken, potato & cheese mix up. Side salad

    Wed. Chicken curry and rice

Thu. Cheese and potato pie, baked beans, sausage

    Fri. Tuna, pasta bake

Sat. Quiche, wedges and side salad

Well, we had a takeaway last night in a very non-OS, had a lot to drink, and the lamb curry I had defrosted was one that was not very good in the first place, way :p

The plan for this week is:

Su-Roast rib of beef, yorkshire puddings, roast spuds & onions, carrots and cabbage, with red wine gravy (it is an AMAZING looking piece of meat-yum yum)
Mo-rare roast beef & horseradish sandwiches, on HM white bread, with kettle chips
Tu-retro beef curry, chips and rice (maybe just chips, will see  ) Going to make a big batch of the curry sauce today, and try adding extra veg to the sauce, so it is a little better for us
We-ginger and soy trout, noodle salad
Th-beef with green peppers, onions & black bean sauce, rice
Fr-spaghetti with roasted tomato sauce, salad and garlic bread .
    Sa-fish pie
Su-lamb shanks, roast spuds or mash, cabbage
  • Hello, everyone!

Bit late posting up this week. Will bump meals back if someone else decides to cook.

    Tomorrow: out for work
Tuesday: quiche and wedges (first time making quiche for me!)
    Wednesday: leftover quiche or pie
Thursday: veggie stir fry with cheats satay
Friday: tomato sauce and meatballs, making more for freezer

Happy cooking everyone! Always love reading your menus.
