Chicken tikka help please?
I've looked and could not find it so apologies if it's here somewhere and I've missed it - I'm trying to find an easy marinating recipe for chicken tikka - not the sauce version that you have with rice etc... - just a way to flavour chicken pieces for skewering kebabb style. many thanks

Heart-shaped cake tin recipe?
Any tips? I have a heart shaped cake tin (3"+ deep), about 9" from the base to the middle of the top (where the two sides of the heart meet), no idea about a recipe. I'd like to make a sponge, cut it in half with a cake wire, and then ice top, sides and between the two layers.

Can I freeze white/cheese sauce?
The title says it all really ;) After being away I had tonnes of milk so I've made a big pan of white sauce. I also have some cheddar that's getting passed its best so I wouldn't mind throwing that in too. How long will this last in the fridge or better still, can I freeze it? Thanks Vix :D

Multi function kitchen appliance?
Long time lurker, infrequent poster here. ;) Before I start - please do not attempt to give me medical advice, I know you'd only be being nice but it's not what I'm after here and I want to keep on topic. However, suggestions (besides obviously gloves or buying pre-chopped veg, etc.) for making life easier with the kitchen…

Later in the month I will be making some things for a garden party which will have a jubilee theme (yes I know it's a few weeks late however there is a good reason!). Frozen Food - how long to freeze for
I have a lot of reduced/marked down food in my freezer. The labels say 'freeze. use within 3 months' but its been 6 months (one is 9months) I know I will be making my own decision here but would this be ok to eat? I know to take Best Before dates with a pinch of salt but not so sure with this frozen food malarky! Maybe if…

Anyoneone know how to make "Granny Loaf"?
My grandmother used to make the most wonderful tealoaf-type cake which had nuts and dried fruit in it (but never cherries) and possibly spices. It definitely had no tea in it. You ate it cold with butter. The recipe would have probably been from before the second world war...... and she was from the North East. Does anyone…

Moving back to eating meat - help with recipes!
I've been a vegetarian for the last 4 and a half years, for ethical reasons but also because it kind of just felt like who I was. But I've recently been really considering starting to eat meat and fish again - only free range and only a couple of times a week to assuage my conscience (lol). So last night, I took the plunge…
